Engineer Point Public Use Area — Attraction in Batesville

The camp grounds on this end of the lake are located at the top of a massive rock lined hill/shoreline. There are picnic tables at every camp ground. All the garbage cans were full tho, like over the top, nowhere to put our trash. We easily reserved our spot online. The boat ramp by the camp grounds is steep and there is no dock to tie to. If you have to climb into or out of the boat from the shoreline you will cut your feet on the rocks. There is a bathroom near the parking lot. Overall we had a good experience. This is one of the best places at Sardis lake to put in at always watch the water levels.Its beautiful here I've been here many times and like always don't forget lifejackets,licenses and so on they do check them here from time to time.Be safe and enjoy Your fishing trip.There are grills here and some pavillions as well as a fish cleaning station just follow the instructions to clean them and make sure they are legal fish.Sardis is a beautiful lake I've been going to this lake for many years.This is a picture...

Its a good place to launch your boat if the lake is low. Fees are reasonable for a public use lake, and plenty of parking and ramp space. Just watch out for guys using the launch as a fishing spot, they seriously need to stop them...
