Great dirt trail that is relatively nice and smooth, accompanied by multiple other trails that branch off the main trail. As you walk along the main trail there are many signs describing the various foliage, trees, and other trails. There are numerous things to catch your attention as it is such a beautiful place to walk. The path is well maintained and clean. The main trail is dog and stroller friendly, as for the other trails they have many bumps in the path such as tree roots and large rocks. Otherwise it is a great place to take a walk and get enjoy the scenery....

Read moreThorne Head is a jewel tucked out of the way in North Bath. There are clearly marked trails that zig zag and loop all over the preserve. If you are up for it you can even follow the Whiskeag trail that goes all the way to the Bath Area Family YMCA. That I believe is about five miles all said and done. The forrest scenery is beautiful and everyone seems to pick up after themselves. I definitely want to make this a regular...
