Great dirt trail that is relatively nice and smooth, accompanied by multiple other trails that branch off the main trail. As you walk along the main trail there are many signs describing the various foliage, trees, and other trails. There are numerous things to catch your attention as it is such a beautiful place to walk. The path is well maintained and clean. The main trail is dog and stroller friendly, as for the other trails they have many bumps in the path such as tree roots and large rocks. Otherwise it is a great place to take a walk and get enjoy the scenery....

Why is there no bathroom's here I mean a lot of people go here on walks with dogs or bike rides or walks with family's I mean you have a big enough parking area to put bathrooms in I mean if you guys aren't going to build actual bathrooms like most parks have then at least put in a Outhouse or porta potties because the woods a long walk and everyone has to go the bathroom at some point just saying I mean it's a nice park but for real why is there no bathrooms for people visiting in...

Thorne Head is a jewel tucked out of the way in North Bath. There are clearly marked trails that zig zag and loop all over the preserve. If you are up for it you can even follow the Whiskeag trail that goes all the way to the Bath Area Family YMCA. That I believe is about five miles all said and done. The forrest scenery is beautiful and everyone seems to pick up after themselves. I definitely want to make this a regular...

Very beautiful trails! There are a ton of winding trails in and out of each other that made it a really fun adventure. One trail takes you to a beautiful overlook and then another takes you right along the waters edge. Lots of small bridges to cross mucky areas. I wish the water wasn't so rocky, I didn't want to bring the dogs down for fear they would get hurt. But it was wonderful just to see and smell the ocean!

This is a quiet place to see the beauty of Maine! Most of the times I have been here (late afternoon) I have been the only car in the parking lot. It is peaceful and has some really great benches for taking in the views. The trail markings are intuitive and color coded providing for a great experience even when hiking an unfamiliar trail. I'm planning to make this a regular stop everytime I'm in Bath!
