We rented a Pavillion here for our sons first birthday party. We scheduled 2 months in advance. When we Arrived at the pavilion that morning ring the trash was overflowed there were ants all over the ground. We had to Have the groundskeepers come in spread and killer at an infant's birthday party because the trash had not been tended to. Up front we paid a $160 I was told I would immediately get a $100 refund If there were no damages to our pavilion. The party was held on Sunday and I returned that Tuesday too name to secure my my deposit. I was told that the deposit could not be refunded within this next 2 weeks. I have a problem with this because what's to keep anyone from coming between now and then destroying the pavilion and me not getting my deposit back. Employees inside are sitting down nothing to do go outside check the pavilion and give me my deposit. Walk ourside and check it now. There's no need for me to wait 2 weeks for you to make sure that I am in an accordance to our contract. When we arrived at the Pavillion the signs for the parties hadn't been changed in over a month. There was supposed to be a posted notice with our party name and it had been neglected. Guests at the party complained at how filthy the bathrooms were. I'm EMBARRASSED i made the poor decision to rent from this park. I will never recommend having an event here as to the staff dont anticipate your event. Staff are slow to act and the facilities were not...
Read moreI love to watch my dogs have fun; and they have fun here. It's big enough for Bitsie's Chuck-It runs fully to the south and north with room to spare. East is about half that distance. The sidewalk surrounding the dog park gives Bo plenty of exercise pacing runners, walkers, strollers with babies, and cyclists.
When the sidewalk is clear, Bo hangs out near the south fence which borders the small dog park. The latter is about one-third the size of the big park; and has only one covered concrete pad with a picnic table. It also has a park bench. The main park has two of the covered picnic tables, equidistant apart, and three park benches.
Both parks have a concrete pad away from the covered tables with a tall water faucet and fountain, and at least one plastic baby pool. Waste bags and waste-only receptacles are readily available. The big park has an extra picnic table that's uncovered; and a smaller water fountain area at the In/Out spot.
All covered areas have a time or light-sensitive light that doesn't always work. Since the park is open from dawn to dusk, the lights should not be a problem. Other rules for the park include: no food or drink, no smoking; and no...
Read moreSince relocating to Baton Rouge, La this by far is the best park i have lived near in my community in a long while. I can take my large dog and place him in the huge fenced area to run an play with other medium to large dogs. AND I can take my little dog and place him in the small dogs fenced in area to play with other dogs similar in size. There's always poop bags to encourage visitors to clean up behind their pets with a convenient disposal can just below and lots of water bowls and even a few kid sized pools for the dogs to play in when really hot as it always is here! The park also has a very nice walking / jogging trail for those that wish to do so with their dogs or alone for exercise. There is a baseball field, really neat and clean picnic areas and a kids play area, recreational center and very nice tennis courts! Definitely would recommend this place to outdoor enthusiasts since it even has a small pond for fishing. Park rangers are present which is always...
