Such government overreach to execute a blind, seven-year-old, deer that was free to roam, just to teach a lesson so that we all don’t decide to have pet deer? Do you really think there will be an epidemic of people having pet deer? How traumatic for this little boy and his family? EDUCATE THE PUBLIC TO NOT DISRUPT A FAWN THAT THEY MAY THINK IS ABANDONED, BUT STOP EXECUTING. Use common sense. Have a more nuanced approach for each situation instead of “Me must kill dear” like robots. How can you go on private property and do this? We are not free.

As an animal health professional, I agree that the speckled trout population is on the decline and much of it is due to the Corps of Eng's. Most of the eggs from juvenile trout in the Biloxi Marsh will die in the fresh water from yearly Spillway openings. Eggs from the trout over 20" in Breton Sound will more likely to survive in higher salinity. A slot limit worked for redfish and makes more sense for specks.

Pretty nice place it's set back to make it look like it is in the woods. The staff are welcoming as you come in and direct you quickly. We came to get our boat registered and were in and out within 20 minutes. We were able to pick up booklettes about fishing, boating laws and even maps of the area. The staff member that helped us was awsome and answered all our questions with a big smile.

I was excited to attend the Louisiana Becoming an Outdoors Woman weekend. I added the application release date to my calendar. It's an outdated process, using only snail mail. Nevertheless, I completed the paper application and mailed it on the same day it was released. The application requires those interested to rank their interest in the offered classes. I was excited to receive an email stating that I had been accepted, but classes would be announced via snail mail.

When I finally received the letter, I saw that all of the classes I had been selected to attend were ones that were way at the bottom of my ranking (i.e. classes I was not remotely interested in attending or those that I wouldn't be able to do due to accessibility concerns.) The cancelation policy is also BS, only allowing for 50% refund before the deadline vs. 100% refund up until a certain point. Some people never received their class letter due to issues with the postal service, which also stands to reason that those issues likely impacted application receipt times.

I would not recommend applying to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation’s (LAWFF) Becoming an Outdoors Woman program; choose someplace else. LAWFF needs to update their policies and step into the...

Unfortunately I can’t give this place zero stars so I guess a 1 will do just to do a review. This facility posted 19 hours ago (5/15/2024) an article about a body found in the water. They identified the body via name, along with INCORRECT Information. How do I know it’s incorrect? Well that body they found in 5/10/2024 is my uncle. Due to their incorrect statement they put out regarding this matter the news channels across this county are just copy and pasting their article and it’s spreading across the county. While trying to have the news get rid of the articles the news channels stated “ we broadcast it, it’s 100% true” which I don’t know about any of you but that doesn’t sit right with me. Regardless I firmly believe this place just jumped the gun to get this file off their desk and didn’t properly take the time to gather up information. How is it possible that my family didn’t get a phone call to confirm this was my uncle but we had to find out via the news? My cousin just did the DNA test on Tuesday at 2pm and they told her right then and there that it would take 6-12 weeks for the results to come back, and yet this facility posted his name the...

Update- I'm guessing they must have had some complaints about my previous issue more than once. I called in to talk to someone, and this time, the lady was super nice and helpful. She told me exactly what I wanted to know and this time it was a very good experience. I wish they were all that knowledgeable and friendly. Ma'am I don't remember your name, but being as kind and helpful as you were made me come back and give an updated better review. Thank you for your help and knowledge on the matter I called about.

Good at law enforcement...bad...very bad at information. They don't even attempt to try when it comes to the boat registration department. I know of people who registered a boat without papers... somehow they went through a process to get this done. For me? They didn't even attempt to give information. When asked through email they just gave a very simple answer. No details, and no information even though I asked for information. I felt they treated me like I don't know anything. It's sad when the public knows more about the do's and dont's...
