I brought my family of 6 here for Christmas (December 23rd) we spent over $60 for our tubing tickets and the hours were 6 to 8 so we got there at 615 and it was packed so we were able to go down the hill just 2 times before they shut the whole tubing down at 715 when we were at the top of the hill because someone got hurt so they made us walk down the hill. We waited 45 minutes for the manager to come talk to all the upset customers who paid for tickets and she didn’t apologize or anything all she said was we could get 10% off our next time . She was very rude and didn’t care that all the paying customers and their families got their night cut short and nothing was compensated for anyone. I will not be going back to a place that treats customers so poorly. They also overbooked this night and we had to wait for tubes because there wasn’t enough for everyone so we waited at least 20 mins to get up the hill! I would not recommend this...
Read moreWe were coming up to Gull Lake to stay at the Quarterdeck resort for Valentines day and saw that Ski Gull was right next door. We bought tickets for a half day starting at 3pm and found that the hills were quite empty. We were happy about that because we are old and very amateur skiers. The runs were well maintained and clearly marked as to difficulty levels. Modest in size compared to almost anywhere else in Minnesota, the runs were just long enough for our amateur efforts. Getting there early for the afternoon half/day session, we almost had the place to ourselves. Never a wait at the chair lift. We had a great time until about 5 o'clock when the place started to fill up with school kids and people getting off work. That was fine, we were done by then. I can't think of a better getaway than a night or two at the Quarterdeck and a visit...
Read moreWell I really really enjoy tubing and so does my family, we go every year. This year definitely wasn’t as fun because they changed a ton of rules here since the last time we went. They wouldn’t let us go on our stomachs and they wouldn’t let us group up like EVERY other tubing place I’ve been to does. However the one thing that I enjoyed was there was a guy at the top telling people when to go. He was the most polite person there, super friendly, and enforced the rules but wasn’t mean about it at all like most people are. I don’t know his name but I know that he was working the top of the hill on December 23 from 345-545. Dude deserves a raise he does a great job! Besides that though I think the rules really need to be changed to...
