Whipple Beach — Attraction in Baxter

As out of towners ona super hot day we googled "beach near me" and Whipple beach came up. Glad we found this one.i ha ent been to a beach in a few years and I wish we had one like this at home (ours is much smaller). There is plentiful seating and shaded areas around the beach and the fact that the beach is on an inclune makes it much easier to see your own kids in the water from wherever you might be on the sand or any grassy area. The water is nice and there is minimal seaweed. We will definitely stop back next time...

Whipple is one of our favorite family destinations. It's a well-maintained park with bathroom facilities and a large shelter for events. Our little kids love the playground and beach. There are plenty of picnic tables where our family can spread out and enjoy a picnic. We also bring our kayaks, hang out on the dock, or walk...

It was a nice day. Wasn't very crowded and overall cleanliness of the park was ok. Mind you there are people out there that don't clean up after themselves.
