After many years they restore the place, finally! Some sidewalk, better parking and better road for access was needed. Not sure how is going to look like because it's still under construction. It looks like they are just doing the bare minimal, probably to preserve the nature as is, !? Or maybe insufficient founds... Before it was wild and at times populated by weird individuals. Fishing here is popular but no catch... Good for a walk in open nature, or fishing.

I am fortunate to be able to see behind the scenes as construction is taking place to clean up and fix up this cool little park. Props to East Bay Regional parks for giving this location some attention! When all is said and done, there will be a nice walking trail with a ton of shoreline wildlife to see. There will also be flushing toilets and a little picnic area with interpretive signs spread around the location.

Found a waterfront entrance through a trail in the field. Parking is at the entrance. Following the 1000 ft trail leads into an opening/mini island. Swam here then sunbathed for a while. The spot was peaceful and exclusive.

Why Benji not on all four please. OK seriously.... like my " GET IT DONE THROUGH THE HARD WORK OF OTHERS, FULLY ILLUSTRATED INSTRUCTIONAL SELF- HELP " app is the only thing I can get on my 10,000 d$ll$r PEeeNapple Smarter than a Fifth Grader, non customizable better than everyone, fully entitled because that's why- other- is on the form, winner phone. Regional? Do I really have to be pinpoint accurate on a written claim of many areas? Am I really the only person forced to pick apart the mind numbing idiocy displayed in the colorful inaccuracy of the well....... grab bag, word shove,...

Neat little urban park best used as a kayak launch point. There is some parking and a picnic shelter, as well as a short trail and a kayak dock. Expect to carry your boat a fair ways (1000' feet) to the dock, but there is also a closer unofficial launch point. You can hike a fair ways out into the wetlands, but bring your boots and expect to get muddy. A lot of trash washes up on shore at the end and there were signs of a homeless encampment. On the plus side, if you do kayak out of here there are quite a few shipwrecks to see including a large fishing boat just...

An easy place to meditate in nature without being too far. The regional parks system should implement places for people to dispose of their cigarette waste (butts, ends) . Other than that the park is pretty decent. There's kind of a piss poor excuse for a bathroom there, the bathroom there....isnt a toilet....It's a hole. Its literally a small concrete room and a hole. It gets cleaned every so often, (i think) so bring your own tp if you need that. also I would check local listings before eating fish from this area because of local pollution...
