Neat little urban park best used as a kayak launch point. There is some parking and a picnic shelter, as well as a short trail and a kayak dock. Expect to carry your boat a fair ways (1000' feet) to the dock, but there is also a closer unofficial launch point. You can hike a fair ways out into the wetlands, but bring your boots and expect to get muddy. A lot of trash washes up on shore at the end and there were signs of a homeless encampment. An easy place to meditate in nature without being too far. The regional parks system should implement places for people to dispose of their cigarette waste (butts, ends) . Other than that the park is pretty decent. There's kind of a piss poor excuse for a bathroom there, the bathroom there....isnt a toilet....It's a hole. Its literally a small concrete room and a hole. It gets cleaned every so often, (i think) so bring your own tp if you need that. also I would check local listings before eating fish from this area because of local pollution...
