Bayard Depot Museum — Attraction in Bayard

The woman at the front desk was so friendly and fun to talk to! My family had a great time looking at everything that had been donated to the museum. There's a TON of neat things to see and learn in there! There's a very nice outside area with farm equipment as well. Took us about 40 minutes to walk through. The baby was getting tired otherwise I'm sure we could have easily spent an hour or more looking...

Given how tiny the town is, I really didn't expect much. Big mistake! This is a wonderful museum, a comprehensive look into the town's past (kind of like the town's attic!) The woman at the desk was great to talk with - friendly and knowledgeable. Don't let this place slip by you on your way to the better known attractions...

I have taken my nieces to a fair number of museums over the years, but the one that they also seem to remember and want to talk about is the Bayard Depot Museum. This is definitely a must see if you want to see the stuff of life in the Nile Valley of Nebraska in the first half...
