WARNING: you may hate crowed but please read. Really nice place, clean restroom and nice people... HOWEVER, BE VERY CAREFUL! not just for this park but my scary experience was on this specific park last year. I love gping to this park early like 1-3 pm with my toddler because it's not crowded so there was a time when I brought my son there and one hour later a guy arrived and jog by himself. My son was biking and i was chilllin.. 20-30 minutes later a vehicle with 2 guys arrived and parked near us and kept on staring at us.. it made me feel uneasy since nobody else was around even if it was a broad day light. I then took my son to move to the other side of the park, the vehicle then started to follow behind us slowly, i then looked at them looking at us so i thought maybe I was overthinking it and maybe these people only wanted to ask for direction but I still kept on walking faster until they really catched up and trailing their vehicle really near me and my son so I took my son and change our direction back because i was already scared.. they started to act like they were gonna get a momentum to open their vehicle together with his male company sitting on the back staring at us..both were holding the door so I then I grabbed my son's bike and hold him to walk faster... guess what? They started to back up in a one way lane inside the park?!! So my suspicion was confirmed that they were up tp no good... they were into me and or to my 2 year old son. I then move away to the middle of the park...at the soccer filled so i know they cant follow us with their vehicle and they'll at least struggle a bit for whatever plan they have. THANKFULLY, another vehicle entered the park! Forcing them to move out of the way... but instead of driving forward, they moved beside the ditch to let the other vehicle pass... they were still was looking at us.. then another vehicle (truck) entered... so they coulnt continue backing up to our direction.. i was getting far from them this time hetting nearer the middle of the empty soccer filled. so they then decided to continue driving the one way loop until the exit.. My car happened to be park near the exit too so I stop moving and waited to see if they were gonna exit the park but hey.. they didnt!! They stopped on the exit and then waited for me... to go near my car but of course i wasnt moving because i was just observing them.. they then drive back to enter the one way lane again out from my sight..covered by the restroom and trees but i knew they were there so i waited for them i didnt care how long people was starting to arrived anyway then a large fedex truck arrived too and parked near them taking his time to deliver the package in the houses infront of the park parking space.. then they give up and entered fully the one way lane back inside the park and drove in the middle far from my vehicle.. i then run to my vehicle.. keep my son and me safe. I was able to breath and felt relieved. After that I felt a surge of anger for some reason.. who do they think they are to threathen my peace? To make me feel that way?. My anger was so irrational that i give them my angry look. You guys must be wondering why I didnt call the police right? I cant tell you the reason here... their race didnt matter, its about being vigilant and alert about your surroundings. I never went back to that park unless during a little crowded hour since that incident.. and now mostly go to jenkins park instead. Stay safe everyone. After a while i realized that the guy who was there to jog early could be an accomplice who was first observed me and my son? He disappear after a while.. anyway, STAY SAFE and be very VIGILANT parents. Avoid going by yourself..wait at least until few families are there too even if you hate crowd....

If i had one complaint (not with the city) it would be how much trash people leave around despite over a dozen trash cans being there. Ive seen seagulls eating out of mcdonalds trash on the ground and trash bags swimming with the ducks. I know its the city's job to have a team come clean and mow it but I wish most of us would make their jobs easier (and the animals a little happier) by cleaning up...
Read moreBy far my favorite Park in the area. Situated directly on the banks of cedar bayou, this Park offers access to a public boat ramp and a generous view of the bayou. Fishing is allowed and with ample room to keep from getting lines twisted with other fishermen. The park features a track around it's perimeter, as well as a covered basketball court, a volley ball court, multiple seating areas, a playground for the kids, and both his and hers restrooms near the front. During the warmer seasons, there's a water-Park style play ground available to keep everyone cool and kids entertained. Great place...
