Arrive early and bring cash!! The vendors for events only accept cash. We enjoyed the Monster Truck Throwdown 2022! Overall it was a good experience... I, along with many parents seemingly struggled to keep the kids occupied and entertained during down time waiting for the event to start. Best advice is to come prepared. We purchased tickets online in advance, however the line to scan those tickets was the longest... the line moved quickly but we could have entered the fastest had we just paid cash and purchased tickets at the event. I left my 'dad bag' in the car and wished I would have just brought it in; snacks/beverages. There was plenty of stroller parking for the event, so take more than you think you need and plan accordingly. Overall the event was lots of fun and extremely crowded. Google maps directed us to the wrong gate for entrance. Like I said, plan to arrive early and bring plenty of cash. Lastly, the sun sets in the west towards the left... if you plan on sitting lower, you will be directly in the sun. Higher up in the grand stands will provide shade, but lower will leave you exposed to sun and heat. We might return for another...
Read moreReally gone down hill sense using Lisko entertainment and getting rid of bates bros amusement, they need to bring back bates bros because the new entertainment company is just awful, the rides are awful and they have way less than they did in previous years. The whole ally use to be filled with rides and fun houses and now its like 6 rides and 50 balloon popping games, be better suited as a street fair at this point. Its such a disappointment these days and no sense of nostalgia. Also rides were suppose to open at noon, 12pm and they didnt have anything ready to go until atleast 1:30 it was pitiful. They need bates bros back badly. Parking lot wasn't even near full which was surprising honestly but not at the same time considering the lack of entertainment provided. Bates bros use to light up the night sky with colors from all the rides and I didnt even stay long enough to tell what Lisko offered to the night vibe but I could tell just by looking I wouldn't be missing much at all. Bring back bates bros and restore the trumbull...
Read moreWe came out for the Easter egg hunt that was clearly advertised to start at 1 PM, rain or shine. We arrived at 12:50, only to find that the event was already over. My 12-year-old wasn’t too upset—she mainly wanted to go since she’s aging out of egg hunts soon—but it was heartbreaking to see so many little kids leaving with empty baskets, especially when they arrived right when we did.
It’s frustrating when an event is widely promoted with a specific start time and doesn’t stick to it. What’s more concerning is that several people asking questions about this on the event’s official Facebook page are having their comments deleted.
If anyone else had a similar experience, I hope you’ll speak up too. Transparency and proper planning go a long way in building trust with...
