Still the wonderful hidden gems that locals adore! Been going there since 1999 and the magic of this calm oasis gets me every time. Perfect for alone time, family fun, romantic dates, fishing, picnics and more! Trails to explore. A playground for the kids. Always a pristine restroom available that is wheelchair accessible. An all around perfect place to practice mindfulness and e joy the gift of life. The bridge has been restored but that just means a new generation of wisdom to be gleaned. Make this a stop if you are in Beacon Falls! The magic gets me every time ! Love it here.

The sign says only for beacon falls residents. I think that's a shame because there is some interesting history here. E.g. if i remember correctly, the old concrete corridors you will see were used to transport ice blocks. Probably before refrigerators became common. There is a Porto potty and a playground. A trail goes around the lake. But today i took the paved roadway in the opposite direction and caught the wooden hiking trails. One trail brang me up to the intersection of pines bridge Rd and old Litchfield turnpike Rd(Trailhead of naugatuck state forest)

I’ve been visiting the park most of my life, it’s a hidden gem of Beacon Falls. Fun fishing for kids and a nice place to walk the dog. Unfortunately like so many other parks of this era it’s on a slow decay probably from lack of funds. I miss the days when the upper areas were filled with water. It’s a great place for nature photography and theres a small playground for kids. I have many good memories of this park.
