Pretty easy hike through a mix of wooded and open terrain. Trail is an old road so it is fairly wide. Our first visit was in the summer, so parts of the trail (particularly farther from the parking lot) are considerably overgrown. There are several side trails, but most are too overgrown for summer access. We plan to return in the fall and winter to explore those. Nice little place to explore. One main gravel road with a few cut offs. Far enough back and you'll find a trail to the lake which is way down providing almost endless places to walk and explore.

One of my favorite places to take the horses and enjoy a relaxing ride in the shade and cool off in the water.
