This was our first visit, and we weren't sure what to expect. In short, we were very pleasantly surprised; we loved what we saw of the area, and plan to return soon for a longer visit!

Although the parking area where we stopped is very small, the area itself is much larger than we had thought. There is a large signboard with a clear map of the trails, including the length of each one, and whether or not each trail is paved. There is also a posted warning about poison oak in the area, and a picture of the plant. It should be noted that we did see several patches of poison oak directly off the trail.

We went for a stroll on one of the paved trails, and loved walking through this beautiful Oregon forest! The trail was smooth, and wide enough for walkers or individuals with mobility devices or strollers to easily pass one another. Also, for those who may be wondering, cyclists are expected to walk their bikes, and pets are allowed on leash.

We're eager to continue exploring this beautiful...

Yesterday 07/02/25 walking my dog on the viewing area trail just a short trail that starts at the parking lot and circles back to the parking lot.

On that short walk starting on the left/west area trail just past the wood viewing deck area I encountered a spot on the ground, well I should say my dog first encountered the spot first, by the time I was able to get to the spot on the ground my dog had already sniffed what powder was on the ground before I arrived just a short 2 or 3 seconds behind him. Possibly licked the ground that is unknown I was watching him pretty close, but maybe anyway within 10 minutes of that occurrence my dog immediately vomited and fell to the ground convulsing with white foam out his mouth. We cared and nursed our poor baby back to good health. For the rest of the day he was lethargic with weak energy until the next day thank God he's okay.

Please be careful out there with your animals this was a wake up...

Had no idea this quiet little trail was nestled off the road just around the corner from where we live. Kept very clean, and had cute little signs on the trail asking what he can here and to look out for homes that little animals may live in. Very quiet for being right of a busy road. The creek was very peaceful with very clean, clear water. There is a perfect sized parking lot out front for safe parking with a porta-potty. There is also a couple picnic tables at the entrance with multiple benches through-out the trails. Had a great time. We will...

Beautiful wooded park with a lot of nice hiking trails. It's just minutes away and feels like you've driven to the middle of nowhere. Don't let the tiny parking lot fool you...the park is bigger than it looks from the street. The main trails are paved and there are some unpaved trails that take you through more of the park. Great place to walk your dog. People like to hide painted rocks in this park so keep a lookout and you might find a small piece of art to take home with you!

Considering we were confronted with a very large coyote at Hyland forest down the road, we decided to try this place for the first time. We brought friends in case this situation happened again. It didn’t, but we got lost. It doesn’t go around in a complete circle like Hyland, but it is way more beautiful. Im so glad, because I don’t want to be kept out of these beautiful hikes because of coyotes. But I realize we have to exist with nature. Just be aware.
