Nov 6, 2025 Update: All modern restrooms and showers are closed for the season.

Road resurfacing is completed.

Park managers have been busy doing work on trail improvements.

If you are planning a visit it would be a good idea to call the park office for a status update on whether electricity is still on at campsites or if water is still available at outdoor hydrants.

January 2025 Camping Update: There has been a rearrangement and renumbering of many campsites this winter. The number of campsites in some areas is reduced, especially in the ones for tent only camping. This has allowed remaining campsites to be larger and more spread apart. Some of the equestrian campsites in the old equestrian area were removed and replaced with 6 non-electric equestrian spaces in the north campground. They are close enough to make use of the shower/restroom house located in that area.

If you've camped here in the past and had a favorite site, be sure to check for a possible new number, or that the site might no longer be one that you can use. The maps at ReserveAmerica through which you make reservations have...

We had a great time here! Camped in a tent at spot #97 and #98. The site was little small, so we had to park along the road. Not many campers in this side of the park so it was quiet. The loop with the RVs was packed! The equine trail head was right next to our site, so the kids were happy to see an occasional horse. We could occasionally hear a horse from the horse corrals which are nearby. Site #97 did not have a cooking grate on the fire ring, #98 did. Both sites were partial shade and had picnic tables.

We walked around and this park is beautiful! There's a picnic area (one table) down on the lake where we took some nice photos. The beach was nice and clean and the kids had a blast there. We wished there was somewhere to rent kayaks or paddle boats. Overall, we had fun and would...

This campground was one of our favorites for years, but it is no longer maintaining the things that made it great. The beach used to be all sand, but now it is completely filled with weeds in the water that you have to wade through. The showers also used to have decent water pressure, but modifications were made to the water supply and shower heads. So now the water pressure is low and extremely hot! There is no way to adjust the temperature. Please get this fixed before a child or older adult gets scalded. The disc golf course is the only remaining attribute we enjoy. We are disappointed that they took out the horseshoe pits we enjoyed playing with our kids. We will not be coming back unless it is really cold and a scalding hot shower would...

What a wonderful little park! We stayed 2 nights in electric rv site while passing through. It's very peaceful here. There is an area for equestrian camping, horse trails, a boat ramp, lots of nice-looking fishing coves, a couple of fishing piers, and a cleaning station. Restrooms and showers are very clean and well maintained. Every few hours a park Ranger would drive through, which is a pleasant reassurance. If we're back in the area, we will definitely stay again!

I love it here. It is shaded with many mature trees and it is peaceful. They have cabins, primitive, and RV camping. The cabins are not supplied and no maid service. But they are cute and nice for those that dont enjoy rv crowds or primitive camp style.
