How this tour got a 4.8 is beyond me. My wife and I wanted to go cave exploring on my birthday. We contacted Twin Caves to ask about the stair count and their hours. They told us the count was 90 stairs and the tour hours were from 9 am to 5 pm. Instead of Twin Caves, we decided to go to Bluesprings Caverns. Unfortunately, when we got to Bluesprings it had flooded due to a rain storm the previous night. We decided to give Twin Caves a shot, as it was not far from them. We called them back to verify their hours. We were told that their last tour was at 4:30, so we had time. Our gps lead us to the other side of the park, but we were able to turn around and found them before 4. At the entrance, the attendant told us that the tours were closed for the day. We were also told that we needed to have made a reservation this morning. Twin Caves’ website does not have this information on it. We also weren’t told that a reservation was needed, neither time we called. We were, however, told about the establishment being short staffed.
