Aladdin Coal Tipple — Attraction in Belle Fourche

The Aladdin coal tipple is a pretty cool little road side historic attraction in Eastern Wyoming that I would definitely recommend checking out if you happen to be in that area. It is only about 40 minutes away from Sturgis South Dakota, so I go and visit the Aladdin Coal tipple when I am in Sturgis for the Motorcycle Rally. Every time I have visited there has been no you else there, which is always nice. The structure is fenced off because of how old it is and is ready to collapse. But the history of the structure and the coal mining industry that used to be present is quite the cool...

We almost missed this! We actually drove by and turned around. Very nice display boards to explain the history and even present day foliage changes that are occurring. A very short walk up to the mine entrance also (kept away by fencing at a safe distance. And the coal sorting boxes structure at the base is so cool to see, and so reasonably close ... you can almost feel the...

Ok piece of history off the side of the road that has fallen into disrepair. I understand that it takes money to fix it up. I just wish the public would be able to respect it. Somebody left their dirty diaper in the middle of the walk-way. Who does that? I think they should close it off because people can't take care of it on their own regard....
