Just moved down here and was trying to find a good starter trail for my dog and I! I went on the orange trail which is 1 mile (add some small xtra amount if you want to see the land bridge) one way and one mile back in essentially a loop. Super clear and easy navigation and easy to follow with clear markers. They painted roots protruding white so you don’t trip so that was a love. Read moreThis section of the Florida Trail is nice. From the parking lot westward toward I 75, the forest growth has a lot of old and large Live Oaks. The land bridge across I 75 is unique. The history about the cancel that was going to be dug across Florida was a pleasant history surprise. We did 3 mile in from the parking lot and 3 back and was a great way to spend the afternoon. Read moreThis trail was great for rollerblading for the most part, but some debris not far from the trailhead flung me forward and fortunately I could bounce off into the grass. I didn't even fall, it was just like a long slow motion trip- I had my helmet and all pads on and definitely almost needed them.
