This section of the Florida Trail is nice. From the parking lot westward toward I 75, the forest growth has a lot of old and large Live Oaks. The land bridge across I 75 is unique. The history about the cancel that was going to be dug across Florida was a pleasant history surprise. We did 3 mile in from the parking lot and 3 back and was a great way to spend the afternoon. The individual trails, one for bikes, one for hikers and one for horses is a cool idea.

Plenty of parking with restrooms. Bike wash also available. Guided horse tours also available. Great trail head for riding west to cross the Land Bridge to reach Canal Diggings and Nyal's loop @ 20 miles total. Adding Ern and Burn with Troll trails for about 26 miles total. This allows skipping yellow trails like Spider Kingdom and get mostly to blue trails. Mountain bike trails and great paved trails are available.

This used to be my fav park trail, but I am editing my previous review to 1 star. Today I went and discovered that they cut down all the trees that you could climb over and under that made this park unique. There were also people in there camping and setting fires, which is kinda odd being as the park closes at sunset and it's a no camping HIKING TRAIL that also has horse trails.

Just moved down here and was trying to find a good starter trail for my dog and I! I went on the orange trail which is 1 mile (add some small xtra amount if you want to see the land bridge) one way and one mile back in essentially a loop. Super clear and easy navigation and easy to follow with clear markers. They painted roots protruding white so you don’t trip so that was a love. Like any trail in the woods there were mosquitos but just bring bug spray. If you keep moving they won’t be bad at all. Overall 10/10 and...

This trail was great for rollerblading for the most part, but some debris not far from the trailhead flung me forward and fortunately I could bounce off into the grass. I didn't even fall, it was just like a long slow motion trip- I had my helmet and all pads on and definitely almost needed them. I skated around 7 miles (out & back) in total and only had the one snag so overall fine trails. There's also a Thai place that looked good nearby too,...
