My son played here for State Tournaments and I hope we never return to these fields.
Start by making and posting a map of the numbers on fields would be great.
They use the "Perfect Pitch" machine for STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Every city coach we spoke to said they too discontinued that machine seasons ago!
Horrible. Our kids were forced to play golf out there.
The first game the umpire fixed the machine with sandbags AFTER our team hit, we had to protest that for him to correct it. Even so, the machines were always adjusted for one team and not the other during the games, ball being dropped by the ump at the machine from the humid sweat it collected I'm sure.
Neither of the first 2 games tested the speed (they are supposed to before every game) so umps were halfway doing their job the entire tournament. I understand it was unbearably hot and everyone just wanted to go home early.
Only until our 3rd and last game did the umpire test the speed finally! Had to adjust it multiple times throughout the game to make sure it was no less than 40mph. and that is when our kids were finally able to actually play the game!!! It is no coincidence or miracle that the last game we got our swings back. First two games BOTH teams missed the ball significantly. The very few who would tap the ball were the short hitters, or the leagues that still use that old school machine. Get rid of it!!
Absolutely unacceptable! Using F words in front of 6 and 7 year olds?! Mama bear almost put and end to it for him.
Better structure on rules and plays and training on the machine would make these beautiful fields worth the drive and money. Otherwise,...
Read moreOur boys had there All-Star State championship tournament and it was terrible! The worst place I've been to by far! The games kept getting delayed due to rain, which isn't there fault, but the umpires are absolutely terrible and very rude! They didn't have a clue how to properly do the pitching machine, weren't keeping the balls dry, not loading it correctly so therefore the balls were either 2-4 feet over their heads or in the dirt! They cut our games short, and when the coaches tried to just simply ask a question they were very rude and wouldn't even answer it. There are so many more things, but too much to type! We will NEVER come back here! And, we're all putting in proper complaints so these problems don't happen to more teams! It was unfair to our kids who worked so hard to get...
Read moreThis review is for the Soccer Fields. I enjoy the Rotary Sportsplex Soccer Fields because they are accessible when I need them to be. The fields are well maintained, and female players I have spoken to are comforted by the fact that a Sheriff Deputy lives onsite if they plan to practice alone. With multiple fields, there has never been an occasion in which I can't find space to play or train. I am thankful for the ability to use this field when...
