Natchez Trace parkway is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places you'll ever seen in your life I highly recommend you check it out. I remember as a kid, my brother, my neighbors and I would all go down there as it was being built soon as they left for the day, and we would walk up half the heart until it got built all the way to the top! Then we would slide down the arch! It may sound scary but it's not because it's actually about 25 ft wide. we would walk up the arch and into the little space that you see underneath the road of the bridge and over the arch there is a gap there that is about 6 ft tall. And I definitely wouldn't recommend doing that right now because of all of the mortality writings and horrible things that have happened there. If anyone needs help please pickup a phone and call for it. There's one last chance on.each end of the bridge now and yet people arestill complaining more and more about how short the railing was built into the bridge well that was almost two decades ago or moreand by now there's no way of fixing that so all we can do is ask our state representative in our district to have a team come out and weld a fence on high enough to catch anyone. but if you have your mind set on jumping off of that bridge then there's no changing them.period! That's the hold that drugs can have on the...

What a beautiful bridge to start or end your adventures along the Natchez Trace Parkway, so much history to see and learn. I highly recommend getting a parkway map at one of the main visitor centers they have detailed mile descriptions, describing where and what everything is, even * next to the “Must See”. It took us three days to Finish the entire route, there’s a lot of great camping RV sites available all throughout the trace without having to leave it. Although I do not recommend the Mississippi State parks, no offense, but they could be a lot cleaner better maintained, however they will work if need be. We found all of the Natchez Trace Parkway RV campsites the several locations we stayed at to be wonderful, somewhat spaced out, plug-ins for RVs, dump stations. As I said, I recommend passing up the state parks, particularly in Mississippi they’re missing a few things. Please don’t expect any nice showers or bathhouses/bathrooms. The one we stayed at was very dirty, did not have any nice restrooms or showers, no paper towels. I would highly recommend staying along the Natchez trace Parkway Camping RV sites, which are many. Any...

It's okay only because it looks so good but what most people don't know is how this State took the people who built the bridge. I applied for a job installing the Escape ladders inside the vertical columns and i took a look inside one of them but when they told me what the pay was all i could do is laugh at them i was shocked when they told me the pay was only $7.50 an hour i was just shocked when they told me that i had to tell them i could not do it for less than $15.00 an hour and that's less money than what i had been making on most all the jobs i had been working on back then . And i have to say I'm just shocked about what this State still pays people even today like over at Oak Ridge power plant they are paying people less money than what I'm getting off of my SSI and that's so wrong. No wonder this State has so much crime in it . I womder how many people know that the workers on these State jobs have not seen a pay increase for more than 30 year's now . So i have to ask how wrong is that ? ...

If you are a motorcyclists or bicyclist this should be on your list of places to visit. There are three free campsites, one at each end and one in the middle. The road starts in Nashville, runs through Tupelo and Jackson, MS and ends in Natchez, MS. Its 444 Miles of ....well, a park. No stop signs, stop lights, no billboards, no commercial enterprises of any kind (not a store or a gas station). The speed limit does not exceed 50 for the entire parkway. Plus, it is built like an Interstate with on ramps and overpasses so you never have to stop for anything unless you want to...and you will. There are dozens and dozens of things to see and do along the way. We LOVE it. Oh, and Elvis fans? You can visit Elvis birthplace home in Tupelo, and even enjoy a southern baptist church meeting the way Elvis might have.
