Lake Padden continues to be slow and understocked... The ospreys are doing well and the eagles harassing the ospreys for their catches are doing well! As far as what I've seen from other fisherman it has been a struggle... Over the last 30 years this has been the worst year for harvesting trout in lake Padden... I Got skunked the last two times I was there this week... I don't believe this is pilot error, as I am doing everything exactly as I have done in the years past... I have harvested eight trout over 12 to 14 visits this season. One or two every other visit or so... I have seen some beautiful photos and triploids that has been taken from lake Padden this last week... Is my understanding that Triploids have been introduced for the first time this year My buddy caught a 25-in fish ! Good luck!!! it is a wonderful place for families and young people with easy access and comfortable amenities like the public bathrooms and picnic areas... A very nice place for certain events and recreation opportunitys. Like family bicycling, hiking, swimming, picnic, and paddling opportunities... Remember... Take time to take a young person fishing !!! Lift up your neighbors, reach out and reap the rewards! B...

Lake Padden is an absolute gem! We visit nearly every week for hiking, biking, and kayaking, and each trip is a pleasure. The paths around the lake are perfect for all skill levels, whether you're taking a peaceful walk or enjoying a challenging bike ride. There are also designated trails where dogs can roam off-leash, which is a huge plus for dog owners. The lake itself is beautiful and clean, making it ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding. The entire area is well-maintained, and the natural scenery—especially the trees surrounding the lake—adds to the serene atmosphere. Whether you're out for a day of activity or just want to relax by the water, Lake Padden never disappoints. Highly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts!

Fish, Hike, Run, Swim - Lake Padden Park is one of the best outdoor recreation spots in Bellingham, especially because of it's convenient location. The Park is always clean and well kept, not to mention is a fantastic place to bring your family in any weather. The lake is always stunning, the tress are full of vibrant colors(especially in the fall months), and the fishing is great in season. Lake Padden also has a maintained trail that goes all the way around the lake, perfect for casual runs or serious training. You can also find tennis courts near the west entrance, if that's what you're looking for. The park itself has several entrances, a golf course and driving range, and several other amenities.

Very very busy during the summer! Lovely place however I have been told not to swim here due to bacteria most of the year. I highly suggest it for a good 45-60 min walk around the lake. A few good uphill inclines, nothing too difficult for a stroller. Lovely park full of runners, swimmers, kayakers, paddle boarders, dog walkers, bikers and children playing. The view is lovely, and the birds are very relaxing to listen to. I walk here almost every day, and have never seen anyone smoking here which is wonderful. There's some good back paths if you really want to make a day of it, however, those are a lot less stroller friendly, and a lot more bikers that go through that part.

Beautiful lake, but very small! Easy access with multiple parking lots and entrances. There's a boat launch available too (not really a lake for motor boats IMO - better to go to Samish). Public restrooms available; walking path around the lake and through the park; a swimming area; picnic tables with BBQ's; and multiple garbage bins near the parking lot for easy cleanup before getting to the car. Dogs welcome on leashes. Worth trying out. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are aquatic invasives to be mindful of, particularly if using any water craft, or water toys (eg noodles, soakers, etc) - proper cleaning after using the lake is a must!

We walked around the lake. It has a really nice wide path all the way around. I think it was around 3 miles. Plenty of parking, at least this time of year. I’m not sure how the parking situation is in the summer when it’s super busy. The bathrooms were open. There are 2 dog bag stations. I think they could use a couple more. The whole park is really clean. I didn’t see any litter at all which is nice. Everyone we encountered were friendly and polite. It is a very pleasant place to walk your dog and enjoy the water.
