This place feels like a hidden gem in Waltham. From peaceful walks in the forest to wandering around the community garden, it’s a beautiful spot to escape and enjoy nature. I added pictures from September but now in late October you can see a gorgeous spread of fall foliage. Mostly flat with different trail lengths. Parking can be right if going during peak hours

A lovely spot for a quick, light walk with beautiful open meadows and peaceful surroundings. Great sunset view spot—perfect for winding down the day or capturing some amazing photos. Especially breathtaking in the fall when the foliage adds a warm glow to the landscape. Great place for casual strolls and photoshoots alike!

I was looking for a place to walk in nature and this park is great for snow shoes and cross country in the winter, not so much for walking. The only path that you can find are the ones made by the above. Beautiful park parking is minimal.

Rock Meadow is popular for hikers and mountain bikers. It offers a good set of trails that are convenient to metro Boston, and is the beginning of the little-known Western Greenway, with miles of trails. It's at least 12 miles if you just ride the whole Greenway end-to-end, and if you take side paths, many times more than that. You could hike or bike only in Rock Meadow many times and cover different trails each time, The Western Greenway greatly expands that territory. Rock Meadow is also adjacent to Lone Tree Hill, and in turn to Audobon's Habitat. The hiking and biking potential of all of these areas combined might even rival...

Rock Meadow is a great place to walk your dog, go for a run, ride your mountain bike, or just go for a stroll. It's a beautiful arrangement of open fields, woods, and wetlands that host a variety of wild animals. There are community gardens and operating bee hives. The tall grasses hold many ticks in the summer, so that's something be aware of. But don't let that keep you away from the beauty of this place.

If you have a dog, it's helpful to know that Belmont animal control occasionally camps out at the parking lot on the Belmont side. The forested side of the bridge across the brook is out of their...

My wife and I used to be used to not be fans of this place but as we have explored more and more it has endless trails and beautiful scenery. Would recommend as one of the best local places to casually hike. The colors in the fall are spectacular. If it has rained recently it can get muddy, but generally a great spot. You can walk through meadows, tree covered trails. Some trails are wide open (10ft across), while others are one...
