Very thankful for the North Suburban Library District for making a listing of places to visit in the district - this was one of the spots we hit because of the listing. We got to watch some airplanes take off and land for a bit, and then went inside the hangar/museum to learn some history. Tons of planes and other vehicles (even the cool Penny Farthing bicycles), a huge amount of reading material, and, maybe silly of me to say with all of the huge machines, but I loved the vintage bike lamps on the wall.

Read moreWe found Waukesha Hangar on accident thru a Google search. We were camping in the area and when looking for some fun activities we stumbled upon this unique place. We made plans to visit on a Saturday and so glad we went. We were first greeted by the friendliest person who gave great info on the museum. While on the small side, this place is a gem. There are amazing old planes and cars, unique displays, a library and a little gift shop. There's also an old gas station and garage on display on the property.
