Having been the entire span of this grand river, except where it begins until this point, I must admit it probably holds a greater importance to me than many others. Regardless, what a joy to see what would seem a meaningless stream of water if one didn't know it's ultimate power and majesty further down the way. The park is very well put together, clean and peaceful. Restrooms are more than adequate and the trails are very easy to maneuver. I can not speak for the cafeteria or gift shop as they were not open yet when we were there. The parking was plentiful and well laid out. I do advise purchasing the tickets ahead of time. I had no cell service there. They have free wifi, which was good enough to get on the site. However, they send you to a secondary site that requires a verification code sent via text.
