Patty loved lapping up the cool cool water after our long drive from West Fargo-Itasca. It was her 1st long drive in traverse with us. We grabbed a bite at the Mary Gibbs outdoor cafe where we also people & animal watched until it was getting time to almost head for home but first we had to go down Wilderness Drive. There we spotted so many trees of all sorts..Exciting time was had by all when right in front of us down flew an EAGLE wings outstretched as he was chasing his prey right down the open road in front of us. We stared in awe as I don't think he was even aware of us being there as he wasso intent on his evening meal !! Such a wonderful surprise, his wings were sooo wide!! Such a majestic bird!! Off he flew back into the woods & we were left to marvel in remembrance of being in the midst of an EAGLE, so bright were his markings!! We'll remember that Wilderness Drive for quite some time!! We are so glad we went to Itasca!! One never knows what might spot in those mighty woods! We'll definitely be...
