Went with my 13 year old son and our dog. Lady at the gate was very sweet and let us know that the swimming areas were closed due to flooding. We had a great time driving and walking around taking pictures and skipping rocks. Everything was wonderful until I saw a man in a truck drive up to my car, and got out and was writing my plate number down. We walked over to him and asked if there was a problem. He was very rude and hateful. He told me my car was blocking the barricades. It was not. I parked my car off to the side of them. He said his wife clearly stated that we were not to go to the swimming area and I was in violation. I explained to him that we were just walking and taking pictures. He then said that my dog was not on a leash. Party correct. She was not on a leash while we were by the water. As soon as I saw someone drive up I put her on the leash. She’s very obedient when we are out however I know there is a leash law. That I was in violation of but it was only when no one was around. My bad. He was so rude about us being there. He was scaring my son.

Read moreOverall bad experience! Not so much with the actual park or those who run the park but with the people who decide to take permanent residence in the park. They seem to think they own the place and if you get even within 500 yards of them they make sure to go out of their way to make your experience a living hell. I usually never post reviews about anything but because this was such a horrible experience for my family we felt that people should know. We will not be back and if I could have rated this zero stars...
