Went with my 13 year old son and our dog. Lady at the gate was very sweet and let us know that the swimming areas were closed due to flooding. We had a great time driving and walking around taking pictures and skipping rocks. Everything was wonderful until I saw a man in a truck drive up to my car, and got out and was writing my plate number down. We walked over to him and asked if there was a problem. He was very rude and hateful. He told me my car was blocking the barricades. It was not. I parked my car off to the side of them. He said his wife clearly stated that we were not to go to the swimming area and I was in violation. I explained to him that we were just walking and taking pictures. He then said that my dog was not on a leash. Party correct. She was not on a leash while we were by the water. As soon as I saw someone drive up I put her on the leash. She’s very obedient when we are out however I know there is a leash law. That I was in violation of but it was only when no one was around. My bad. He was so rude about us being there. He was scaring my son.

There were so many people in other areas that were drinking, being loud and obnoxious but he chose to pick on the mother and son. How big of him. I hope his day got better. He was obviously struggling...

Overall bad experience! Not so much with the actual park or those who run the park but with the people who decide to take permanent residence in the park. They seem to think they own the place and if you get even within 500 yards of them they make sure to go out of their way to make your experience a living hell. After dealing with them yelling at us and invading our camp, we then decided to pack up our stuff to move to a different spot in the park (keep in mind we were only there maybe an hour just long enough to set up our stuff) after continuing to ignore them they followed and continued to harass us all the way to our car. I usually never post reviews about anything but because this was such a horrible experience for my family we felt that people should know. We will not be back and if I could have rated this zero stars...

This place is above average place to go , entry fee is $5 per vehicle or $40 for year . No staff to welcome or explain at the gate , mostly self explore place . Route is marked well , very woody and would not recommend any trails as we saw many animals . Swim area was close , picnic area was close , boat launch was close most of roads are in bad condition , yes$5 point of sales machine was working . Park was scenic , people were still swimming even swimming area was close and looks very safe . Lake view is gorgeous . Woods and surrounding are pretty, good place to drive...

Escape the city and head to Mustang Park in Fort Worth for a serene lakeside getaway. Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, or simply relax on the sandy beach. The park also features plenty of picnic areas and hiking trails, perfect for a family outing or a peaceful afternoon. With stunning views of Benbrook Lake, Mustang Park offers a tranquil escape just minutes from downtown Fort Worth.
