Where should I begin? Due to the ratings , I was flabbergasted to find a winery near my home. Upon our arrival on Valentineâs Day, we entered the tasting room and were greeted by a man (MOD) behind the counter , doing paperwork. All the seats up front were taken but we wanted to sit outside. As we continued waiting, we almost left because no one attended to us while we were standing inside. Luckily, the woman behind the counter offered us a menu and took our order. We took our glasses and sat outside. Eventually , the wines we were going to taste were brought to us and didnât really guide us through the experience. Overall, I believe they were short staffed, lack of communication, and provided no real experience for wine tasting. Might as well go to a bar and drink by yourself because no one is going to walk you through it. The view was beautiful and the woman was helpful even though she worked behind the bar , attending to other couples. The gentleman that initially greeted us could have provided a better experience but did not. Unfortunately, we will not...
Read moreMy wife and were with some friends winery hopping this past weekend and they suggested Bending Branch as it is a distillery as well. Me being more of a whiskey drinker and less a wine sipper, jumped at the opportunity. So off we go. Due to the Texas heat, we stayed indoors, but the outside area was nice. While the others opted for wine fights, I went for the a whiskey flight. I had a nice 4 glass pour and the spirits were good. Even bought a bottle. ChickenDuck Eclipse Ed. was its name. Great taste but even better story. This particular selection was bottled for the April 2024 eclipse and our son and daughter in law got engaged on that day in nearby Mountain Home, Tx just as the eclipse was starting. I finished off with an old fashioned - so good. The wife and friends liked their wine tasting, but nothing like having a drink and a story...
Read moreAmazing winery! Super helpful and attentive staff during the tastings. They make whiskey as well, so we did the whiskey and the wine tasting, and were lucky enough that there was a concert outside on their patio - a woman and her guitar playing such relaxing folksy music. A sunny, cool afternoon, surrounded by the beautiful Texas hill country, drinking amazing wine and whiskey from in my opinion one of the best in the TX wine region! Don't miss out! Skip past the mass tasting rooms in Fredericksburg and pop by Bending Branch! You won't regret it. We can't wait to go back next time we're in the...
