Very nice day getaway if you live nearby and want to get outside. The drive for me was 2hrs away but I'd say it was worth the drive. Watched YouTube videos before coming out to see what to expect.

As I've seen recommended canyons 4 and 5 were the best. Starting at the end of the Rim trail and seeing above the canyons first was nice. Then heading down to canyons 4,5,6,7 and 8 were good. Definitely save the loop trail for last since it basically takes you back to where you started at the top.

Didn't personally need a big daypack with everything, just a few drinks (fanny pack or bag with drink pockets and zipper pockets for keys, $ and cards, and such) and some snacks. Phone or camera for sure and a good attitude for fun.

The bathrooms are located at the top before you begin the trails. There are also picnic tables and a playground. The visitor center has drinks, snacks, shirts and outdoor things for sale.

Depending on the weather you may want to consider sunscreen, and shoes for walking through...

Can't wait yo go back and hike. Beautiful scenery. Be prepared water maybe snacks. Good shoes appropriate for up and down trails some might be slippery. Also, DO NOT pull you RV or a boat to the back area. Stop and park somewhere near church or first bathroom. Ask the attendant where a good place to park is. The parking area at the entrance to the trails is small and has no turnaround area. We had a lil boat and managed to turn around but after us came a bus like RV. God bless him. He had to undo car then move everything. If only the guy at the entrance would have said something about parking would have prevented all that frustration. There should be signs posted, if there are, we did not see them. As of now they are remolding the building by the entrance. Need to be in good shape to walk these trails. If not, enjoy views from the observation area they are breathtaking. Take a picnic...

"THE LITTLE GRAND CANYON" located in Georgia and is very much an awesome sight to see! Several hiking trails and several levels of hiking easy-difficult, colored trees on trails so getting lost is not an option, many different items man-made or nature made that is along the way, restrooms are at the beginning location at the visitors center, which even has a souvenir shop! Has a huge kid friendly playground with areas that you can use binoculars to see the whole canyon at a glance....if you do not wish to hike down into the canyon trails. Several restrooms are located along the main road to ensure a pleasant walking and sightseeing experience on a paved/grassy trail instead of the canyon trails. Only a $5.00fee for all day...
