Fortitude Farms & Events — Attraction in Bennington Township

Fortitude is PHENOMENAL. My friends got married here over the weekend, and we could not have asked for a more perfect venue. I work in the wedding industry out of state and know firsthand that it takes a lot of hard work, effort, forethought, and investment to create an ideal venue. Fortitude is that and more.

The owners, Lauren and Alec, consistently went above and beyond for us. Their staff and bartenders were also extremely helpful, considerate, and kind. You can tell how much pride Lauren and Alec have in their work, and it is reflected in how clean their facilities are, how efficient their processes run, how thoughtful and tastefully the bridal suite has been curated, and how attentive they are to the needs of their guests. We had pouring rain just before the ceremony and again after pictures. They let the couple decide if they wanted to move things under the tent, had a rain plan in place as a backup, and they dried and wiped down chairs for us just before the ceremony started. They provided the guests and bridal party with clear umbrellas that were stunning in photos and kept us all dry during the ceremony. The reception tent provided excellent coverage during dinner, and the rain gave it an even cozier atmosphere.

The flower farm provided several incredible photo opportunities! The fields of flowers were blooming in a variety of colors and we enjoyed roaming the rows, picking out our favorite spots with the photographer. The old truck provided a fun photo op for the groomsmen, and the swing was absolutely stunning for the couple! Everything was laid out very nicely, the grounds were well maintained and groomed, and the setup felt very accessible. The staff even had Rangers to drive guests and the bridal party to and from the ceremony site, making it even easier to get around.

The bridal suite was absolutely adorable, and we loved getting ready in it. The hair and makeup stations have lighted mirrors, and there's a full length mirror in the center of the wall that was great for photos. One of the stations is next to a window, which was perfect for the makeup artist to use for natural lighting. There were plenty of outlets and enough space for 7 adults and 3 kids to share the room without feeling squished. The venue provided a rolling cart to hang our dresses on and the provided steamer was an awesome bonus as well. We all loved the cowhide rug, which provided a great rug cuddle for all of us girls to pile on at the end of the night.

Lauren and Alec were accommodating, kind, and fun to be around. Their personalities are delightful and easy to get along with. You'll want to spend time chatting the day away with them, and I'm sure you'll become fast friends too. It was very easy to trust that they had our backs. They took care of everything and provided an excellent foundation for a fun event.

If you are looking for a venue to host an event or wedding at, I heartily give my recommendation of Fortitude. I wish I lived closer to have them on my preferred vendors list and send all of my clients there. The peace of mind and professionalism we received were impressive and appreciated. This was an excellent choice for our daughters wedding in September of 2018. We were extremely grateful that they moved some things around on their schedule to accommodate us on short notice. Our first venue did not work out and in hind site I am so happy it didn't.

The owner and the manager were awesome and very accommodating. We knew on our first meeting that we were meant to be there. We were able to have the rehearsal, wedding, and reception all right there on this beautiful property.

The clubhouse has been renovated and is stunning and clean, and they have their liquor license and a bar which made things even more convenient. They have a couple TV's where they will do a photo slide show. Their patio has nice seating and beautiful lights and fire features.

We hired Kim to be our coordinator that day. She had golf carts on site to transport guests from the field where the ceremony was up to the clubhouse where the reception was. She communicated well and was the go-between for all of our vendors that day. It made it so much more enjoyable having her keep everything flowing smoothly that day and she is such a nice person to deal with too!

My husband and I had a destination wedding but wanted to have a local reception for our family and friends who weren't able to travel for the wedding. I am so happy and grateful that Fortitude was available!

Alec and Lauren are a phenomenal team that made the event exactly what we wanted! The venue and outdoor space is beautiful in itself and so open and airy, but there were so many options for our set up with the tent, food, dance floor etc. When we had an unexpected downpour they quickly pivoted to help our vendors get set up under the tent and were running back and forth with umbrellas over our guests as they were walking back and forth between the building and the tent.

One of my absolute favorite parts was the attention to detail and talent Lauren has with her florals she grows right there on site! I told her my favorite flowers and sent inspiration photos and she nailed the color and vibe I was going for! I wish I could have kept the flowers forever and we got so many compliments on how beautiful all the florals were!
