I had such a great experience on my sunset tour with the Mescal movie set! Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and informative. I enjoyed meeting and speaking with the entire Mescal team. Everyone seemed genuinely interested in getting to know the guests too which made the experience more personal and memorable. The tour itself was both fun and engaging. They took the time to describe scenes that took place at the different structures, provided some behind the scenes details, and answered everyone’s questions. It was also enlightening to get some insight into the movie magic of films. The level of passion the Mescal team shares for the site and its history shines through in their storytelling and by the admirable amount of time and care dedicated to maintaining the structures and location. I’m so glad I extended my trip for an extra day in order to take part in this experience. There’s something surreal about standing where some of Hollywood’s greatest legends once stood and to think about the iconic films that were produced there. The breathtaking scenery and sunset only serve to add to the magic of the experience. Please be aware that this is still an active filming location and spots are limited so be sure to schedule a tour in advance. Also, don’t forget to stop in the gift shop to see some great and truly...
Read moreMy husband and I called ahead and learned that the set was closed today but that the gift shop was open at 10a.m. and that from the gift shop, we can see the town from that porch. It is best to always call and plan ahead and book a tour in advance. We are huge western movie fans and went to Tombstone the day before and learned about Mescal from an actor there.
Cindy, in the gift shop and her husband and the couple that own the set and ranch were so wonderful to my husband and I and listened to us patiently share our stories and questions. The place is not only awesome but in pristine condition! They care about keeping it up even when a movie is not being filmed. There's always worth being done as it's evident. Be respectful of their work and their time. Was given the chance to meet very nice staff and many are volunteers. We will come back for a sunset tour in the future. Thank you Mescal for giving us a glimpse into the art of western...

Thanks again Paul for giving us the information and getting us signed up for our tour!
It was awesome to see where they filmed the movie tombstone and other movies! This is a very cool and unique experience to be able to see where they shot a bunch of classic westerns!
Definitely recommend calling or booking ahead of time. It is closed to public unless there are guided tours..
The gentleman that was our tour guide was very informative. He gave us plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions.
Hot chocolate, root beer, popcorn was available at the end of the tour in the saloon! That was a cool experience.
We were very lucky to be there on the 4-year anniversary of the new owners and they had some Legends of movie history past signing cards and answering questions!
It was a very unique experience and we...
