Lake Michigan College Mendel Center — Attraction in Benton Charter Township

Had a blast at Winter Delights. Everything from the wine & horderves samplings complete with smooth jazz band to the spectacular art & craft show to the entertainment on the main stage, this was the best event I have been to at Mendel. I was a little sad that not a lot of people turned out because let me tell ya, this is the best kept secret on the Mendel calendar. Beautiful college. We went to see the Folk Legacy Trio. It was a great show. The main concern was that we parked in the back lot. We are from out of town and had no idea where we were going. The doors were unlocked with no one inside directing. Even as we made our way through the building we didn't see a soul. The people working there were not very helpful. I think this is a safety issue. Even when leaving, the doors were unlocked. Anyone can walk in and cause trouble. My guard was up and I felt somewhat unsafe. Hoping if someone sees this they will...

The doors weren't open at 7 and we had to stand in line until there was no line, just a lobby full of people. I had arrived at 650 and left at 715 and the doors still weren't open.
