Been going here for years and it’s been great in the past. This year because of medical problems/surgery we had to come on a Friday and it was awful. We have a big family and brought six kiddos so we paid a pretty penny to get in and then also concessions while there but it most definitely was not worth the price. There was SO many kids running around on field trips it was so chaotic. We had to wait in line for many of the attractions which my toddlers screamed the entire time because they were ready to play and then once allowed on the attraction were getting ran over by other kids and timed for a very short period till they had to get off. Kids were running everywhere pushing and even taking things straight out of my kids hands or trying to push their way in front of my kids in line or to do something like go down the slide. Places like obstacle area and the playground/tire area I didn’t notice many adults around with these kids and there were SO many kids you couldn’t even walk through the playground area because so many kids were grouped up just sitting and hanging out up there my kids couldn’t actually play in any of the tree houses like normally they do and barely even could get around to slide because kids wouldn’t move to let them by. In the obstacle area I had so many kids asking me for help because they were in there and couldn’t do the obstacles and there was no other adults around just tons of kids everywhere and I was trying to help my toddlers while helping every other kid asking. Most of the adults were watching from afar so nobody was actually with any of these kids. I usually can let my kids run around and play and can watch from afar and even play around on things myself but not possible with as many kids running around I had to stay with my kids every move and be super stressed because for one so many kids they could get lost or two these kids were pushing/running/taking whatever so I could not take my eyes off my toddlers at all. It resulted in a lot of upset moments for my kids and just not a good time. I even had a kid come up to my four year old and try and push her off her bike because they wanted to ride it and I had to tell them to stop and the kid got mad at me and was yelling that she wanted to ride it. Also, while waiting in line with my screaming toddlers that couldn’t understand why they couldn’t just go play the workers put the gate up right as I was about to walk through. They let everyone in including my older kiddos in front of me but was seriously going to make my toddlers wait another turn and I asked “could I please come through with my older kids?” They hesitate but said I guess. I was the only one left in line. We came early and I thought having the entire day we would have plenty of time to do everything. We didn’t even get to do half the things we normally do because there was so many people and so many lines. Even my kids were crying to go home because it was such a horrible experience. If this was the only time I’ve experienced coming here I would NEVER go back and tell everyone to never go it’s horrible. But I’ve been going for years usually on Saturday and I know it can be fun and me and the kids look forward to going. So disappointed this year in how it turned out and I strongly suggest calling and seeing if there will be big field trips during your time. I don’t think they should have people pay full price during days that have big field trips because you do NOT get your moneys worth and it is NOT a good experience. We made the most of what we could but it was a day mainly filled with...
Read moreOur trip to Beggs was total blast! We went with a couple of other families, and everyone had a great time! There was plenty to do, and our kids never got bored!
I definitely recommend getting there at the opening, (10am). This is the only way you will get a chance to do everything, without rushing through it all.
Also, they are COMPLETELY CASHLESS!! You will need a debit or credit card to not only get in, but also to participate in any of the paid activities.
Now, they do have plenty of activities that are free, but you will have to pay for the apple cannon, camel and pony ride, paintball shoot, and a couple of others. Also, food and drink are prohibited inside the farm, but they have multiple concession stands on site. You may have to wait a while though, it took about 45 minutes to get through the line at lunch time.
The only complaint I have is concerning the price of activities. It was $10 to ride the camel and the pony and if you have a small child that won't ride by themselves, you have to pay for a separate ticket for yourself. That's $20 to ride a camel, and the ride is basically two small circles, doesn't last 3 minutes. It's $10 to shoot 16 apples out of the apple cannon, and the concession stands are expensive as well.
Also, they do allow open alcohol, which for me is very questionable considering it's an attraction geared towards children.
All in all, it was a very good time, and we will be going back, would just like to see the alcohol access removed, and maybe ease down the price of the...
Read moreI would zero star if i could. What an absolute rip off. A family of 4 is $71 and some change to enter. After you enter you can play on a swingset, go down a slide, or bounce on a inflatable. Or you can spend $8 to shoot a paintball gun, grab a bite to eat for around $10 per person, or buy a pumpkin. But wait. If you a buy a pumpkin, the smallest we saw was probably around 10lbs. Keep in mind your 500ft+ from your car. But they offer pumpkin wagons that you can rent for an additional $5. We couldn't do the hay rides because it was too muddy, there was no corn pit for the kids to play in. The kids tried bouncing on the inflatable but the entire time you are there jumping there is 1 to 2 employees blowing whistles and screaming at your kids for well being kids. I would NOT recommend anyone bring yourself or your family here as they are not worth the drive or the costs involved. I could see maybe charging $5 for a kids armband to do the different activities but $17 per person to walk around someones farm is a joke. Do yourself a favor and visit Breezy Hill Farm in Illinois or Bandys Pumpkin Patch in Illinois. They have a much better family oriented facility and they don't require a second mortgage on your house...
