Kentucky Lake Scenic Drive — Attraction in Benton

I give one star to bring attention to the low hanging tree branches along this route that make it a no go for high profile vehicles. After asking locals and trying to research if it was safe for our motorhome, we decided to go and regretted it. We were there in late August’ 23 and at that time at least, there had been no tree trimming done for a long time apparently. It’s one way and no way to turn around, but thankfully only about 3 miles long. I walked in front of the motorhome as my husband drove, and held branches back the best I could. Otherwise a pretty drive, but in summer all you can see are trees with an occasional glimpse...

This is a one way loop that should be fabulous. The road was constructed as a scenic drive and it is well maintained. There are pull offs where you can stop and enjoy the view, if there was a view. Trees and brush have been allowed to get so thick that they block any view of Kentucky lake. This is really a shame, because this could be a great area that anyone...
