I cannot say enough good things about this place and how much I love it here. I first experienced coler on a trip to Bentonville in spring 2021 and can honestly say that this place (along with many other things about this area) inspired my wife and I to move to NWA. This is a world class public amenity for anyone who enjoys mountain biking and the outdoors. There is something here for all skill levels, from easy and flat trails to treacherous enduro trails with skinny wood features and big drops. The coffee shop (they serve beer btw) here is a fantastic feature and makes it easy to spend more than a few hours here. They also have bike repair tools and pumps at a few points throughout the preserve. For those riding the trails I would recommend warming up on family flow and/fire line before moving on to Cease & Desist or Rock Soft/Rock Solid. I haven’t stayed at the campgrounds and cannot comment on the quality of those but I’d imagine it to be pretty great. For anyone visiting Bentonville I would consider this a must do for anyone who enjoys walking, running, and especially...
Read moreAbsolute trash! I’ve ridden mtb since the 80’s, in 48 states and 3 countries. Bentonville is not worthy of the “mountain bike capital” title. Moab is the mountain bike capital of the USA, Bentonville wouldn’t make the list of actual mtb communities. Everything is so far away you have to drive everywhere and theres always a ton of traffic for some reason. Hikers are always in the way and think they own it. If you travel and ride, I’d only go if it was on the way. Not worth a special trip and no camping near town unless you live in a tent or van, then they have a campground for you. In the middle of a stuck up city with small hills full of ticks, sharp rocks, enclosed in oak trees and full of man made features not meant for mountain biking. The actual mountain bike trails were all over grown and haven’t been maintained in years....
Read moreI found this area about a year ago and immediately thought it was the most beautiful and family/pet friendly place. I've always seen kids and dogs and family on some of the trails. I've also enjoyed said trails, but this weekend was very different. A couple was walking their dog on a trail just literally enjoying nature and a very loud group of riders were yelling that they don't like it when people walk on the trails.the couple pointed out that they walk the green trails that the trail is for everyone and I felt so bad for them because they were literally just enjoying the day and the bikers just were being so rude.it makes me feel like I can't go there to enjoy the place.please let me know if it is only meant for bikers or just pave walking? I really thought the map indicates some trails that are for both and I've seen...
