Fantastic location to walk through and enjoy nature. Easy to find location and paths. Each path is clearly marked by signs and colored markers on trees along the way. I like to walk the paths at all times of the year however the pictures are of early spring, just before everything starts to come up. The colors you find all year round are always beautiful. They have hunting during deer season in this area for a specific number of permits. Mushroom hunting is big in this area also, us locals love them. You can see all sorts of birds including the occasional eagle that stops by. The turkey’s in the area are often hanging out around here too. They have beautiful paths for walking, running, and hiking. Many trails are dog friendly and some are horse friendly also. Handicap parking available. Port a potty located...

I do a lot of hiking in Florida and Ohio. This is probably the best maintained trail and the best marked trail I have ever been on. At each intersection there was a sign and a map. A “you are here” sign etc. A thorough explanation at the trailhead about each trail and they were all color coded.

This is a very pretty deeply wooded area. The ghost railroad trail was very interesting. It ran along the bottom part of a 50 ft high cliff. The reason for this well graded trail was for quarrying sandstone. If you look closely you can see a lot of the stone is square cut and you can see the holes drilled for dynamite. I hiked on a rainy morning so only one other vehicle parked in the lot.

This a gorgeous venue with some history and lots of different trails to...

My wife and I are long distant back packers so we're always looking for a local place to get some training milage in and this is one of our favorites whenever we're visiting family in the area. We've gotten up to 15 miles of hiking in one hike at this place. It's very well maintained and your able to see a lot of wildlife. One time we even seen a heard of about 30 deer running past us in the woods. Just a note of caution, if you follow the horse trails makensure your clothes are treated with permethrin due to the high amount of ticks. If you stay on the trails made for pedestrians only you...

This is a pretty standard metropark, there's nothing really outstanding about it. There is wildlife here, mostly on the prairie trails, which features birds, frogs, deer, and perhaps much more, so those are the trails to hit up for sure. Most of the other trails are wooded. The Adventure walkway is nice in the sense that the information along the trail is not toned down for little kiddies, so even adults can appreciate the signs along the path. There are benches to rest in various parts of the park. For the most part, there are plenty of signs/maps so you can't get lost here.
