As a teenager I rode my bicycle on these paths seeing these buildings 50 years ago never knowing what was inside. Today everything was open and how nice and informative it was. So much history and exhibits. What a great place to spend a few hours checking out everything. One building was closed but still enough to look at. Admission was only $2.00 each suggestion and well worth it for the canal building. Definitely worth the visit. Nice to walk the red bridge to!

I would recommend this tour to everyone. The ingenuity of people is remarkable. While the history portion is very interesting and the guides were very informative, as a teacher, the critical thinking and problem solving skills of the Gruber family has me amazed. Taking this tour is a step back in time, not only because of the equipment and restoration, but also because of the detail. Boxes of screws used in the process are still on shelves on the walls.

Wonderful experience. It was a very informational and hands on experience. The tour guides were polite and answered every question. The one room school house was an adorable blast from the past. I do wish we were ae to go inside the corn mill, however everything was amazing. My kids said it was better...
