Did not go to the trails so I can't comment on that, but I did check out a photo exhibit in their gallery which was cool and I was able to speak with the photographer (nice guy). Nice out the way hiking trails. It has a streams and over 300 acres of land. The Center, located in the foothills of the Highlands, boasts an environmental learning center, tree-top level observation deck, bookstore, and exhibits. I signed up for a NJ Audubon-led bird walk at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, organised through Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. I drove over an hour from Montgomery Township but never found the group. The Eventbrite listing didn’t clearly indicate the meetup point — Saffin Pond was mentioned only in passing.
