The water park itself is a lot of fun. Spent about 4 hours of fun there with my 7 yr old. About 30 minutes before leaving he wanted to jump off the diving board (10ft jump) one last time before we finished up the day. He is an excellent swimmer but is still very young and some of the slides and activities were very new for him and his nerves with the excitement set in. As parents you still want to ensure safety so one of us walked with him to the height of the jump and one waited next to the water until he jumped to be there just incase. She got in the water when it was his turn to go, the lifeguard asked her to get out as it is against their rules. She did immediately. That’s perfectly fine and understandable, however, Zack (the lifeguard) proceeded to scream from his stand to my son for him to get down and go change his bracelet to a Non- swimmer bracelet and that he couldn’t go off the jump that he had already done multiple times. I have no problem following rules especially when asked to do something but the lack of customer service and screaming at my 7 yr old and hurting his feelings for no reason is absolutely absurd. Then when I confronted Zack about the situation he is argumentative about the situation and then send his boss over with a new bracelet for my son. In which I will add he was not made to change as the manager did understand that Zach was the one in the wrong. I’m sorry to leave a bad review at a place that was alot of fun but you should also make sure your young lifeguards also understand that there are parents that come there and will go above and beyond to protect their children so they should watch how they speak to children and listen to the parents instead of being argumentative...
Read moreFor $8 a person/$6 kids this place is a great spot to go getaway for the day. Staff is nice and theres always plenty of lifeguards on duty. This place has it all. Small animals like goats and chickens for the kids to look at and pet. Basketball courts. This year they improved the bathrooms/changing rooms and added more stalls with doors. Old ones just had curtains. Nice big play area for young kids up to 6/7yrs old that has the big water bucket drop and slides and watercannons. They got 1 big mat slide that twists around and they allow you to let your young child sit on your lap. Next to that they got the racer water slide. Both of those drop off into pretty shallow water. Maybe 7ft deep. Then they got 2 small water slides at the beach area for young kids that lets out into maybe 3ft water. Huge beach area that has a volleyball court. The water in the beach area is nice because its actually like a sandbar thats only about 3ft deep until you go out 20ft past the ropes. Then it gets to atleast 8ft. Out there they got a jump platform, a tetertotter like thing and another thing popular with teens. They got a fun little obstacle course for kids. Diving board and another enclosed slide thats blacked out. Very fun. The most popular thing is the 10, 20 and 30ft dive platforms. One of the best thing about this place is you can go out to your vehicle for lunch and grill out/have a picnic. Saves money and brings the family together. Very family oriented place. We go atleast twice a year. Located in Bern if you plan it right during the week you can stop by one of many amish businesses and get some goodies to take their...
Read moreLots of fun for kids of all ages and adults alike. It's a bit run down, but everything is fully functional. The staff was friendly. Probably 200 people today, everyone had room and no concerns of hiding your bags like in other places. Good sand for building stuff, volleyball net. Lots of slides, Zipline, log walk. Concessions are CHEAP. I got a cup of ice cream, a hamburger and a bottle of sprite for only $9. Service is fast and friendly. The only concerns I have are that the splash pad has an algae growth along the exit to the slide. I watched multiple kids faceplant exiting the slide. My kid fell three times herself. Someone needs to take a power washer all around the slide as I tried to defunk it with a rock to no avail. It's a real hazard. Also, the water within that slide is noticeably more green than anywhere else in the park, I suspect due to algae buildup. The whole thing needs a good scrub down. The other concern is to the animal exhibit, namely the alpacas. There is a white one who seems to be their leader, and he has a massive eye infection that needs treatment. Other than that, the rest of the animals looked healthy and happy, albeit rightfully aloof.
Overall, lots of fun. Great time and will definitely...
