Read moreGreat little spot to explore in South Western Michigan. The nature center was very nice. We enjoyed the couple of animals that they had there. They have a few turtles, snakes, and I believe weasels but they were away doing an educational program. The lady working in the center was very welcoming and informative. We spent a while talking with her about the animals, wildlife in the area, and other areas of the park. We enjoy looking for mushrooms in particular and she told us of a very beautiful pink mushroom growing in the park. The trails themselves were very nice but the day we were there it was sweltering. The shady areas and frequent benches were very nice discoveries along the way. We would love to come back again in the fall for cooler weather and more mushrooms. There is a $5 entry fee per car but it's so worth it to see them housing animals and servicing the trails. They also provide bug spray which was...
Read moreVisited on a Sunday. It was quiet with only a few other visitors. It was Spring so there were spring flowers in bloom, which were a lovely addition to the scenic trails. Trails are maintained but still have a natural untouched feel to it. Some bridges needed some attention as there had been heavy rains just days before our visit. It was quiet, and picturesque. Wonderful for amateur and professional photographers. Bicycles are only available during the winter, but you can bring your own and ride on the trail assigned for bicycles (about 3miles of it). Entrance fee between $3 /$5 based on whether you live in our out of the county. The person at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. This place is a good place to take kids. You can also take your dog for a walk here. More than worth the entrance fee. A lovely place for...
