Before yesterday, I would have graded this vineyard with high marks, but after yesterday's experience, I can only give it a 1. Yesterday, we decided to bring our guest from the Netherlands to this vineyard. After settling with our three children, my husband went to place an order, and I was applying sunscreen to our children. Suddenly, I noticed that a staff member was talking to our guest. I approached them because our guest had a very upset look on her face. Upon coming closer, I found out that the staff member was warning our guest that outside food was not allowed. We did not have any food in our hands; we had just arrived and were trying to settle our bags and children. I didn't have a chance to talk to the staff member as she quickly disappeared after her unpleasant speech. Our guest and her daughter were highly upset, and they did not feel welcome. Among all the bags we had, we had one from Food Lion, which might have been the reason why the staff member decided to teach us the rules. However, without any food in our hands, what was the reason to ruin the day of just-arrived guests with unprofessional behavior? Furthermore, it would be better for the personnel of the vineyard to change their glasses to something safer. Our children found four pieces of broken glass among the small stones, which are the main source of entertainment for children at this vineyard. However, having broken glass can lead...

We wanted to pass on a very special thanks to Mallory who is the Tasting House Manager. My wife and I, we decided to get married here because of the stunning scenes of the Crowders and the King’s mountains. Veronet offers beautifully designed interiors with wide open spaces outside. Above all, Mallory’s help throughout our experience was tremendous. We could not thank her enough. We had numerous scheduled meetings with Mallory and she was always the first to show up waiting. She timely followed up with all of our vendors to ensure they stayed informed of our decisions. Each time we brought our family members to show the venue, Mallory kindly and warmly guided us to show us around. The day before our wedding day, and the day of, Mallory was there with us for each and every step of the way as if she was taking care of her own family. Our parents were absolutely grateful for her guidance. Even at the end of night, Mallory stayed with her staff to clean and close the place. Her exceptional customer service was phenomenal, making everyone feel comfortable and at home with such a grandeur. My wife and I are so thankful that our wedding went on the way exactly wanted to with Mallory’s help. Thank you for being there for us and being part of our lifelong...

This need works. The good. The buildings and vineyard it self will look good when all the vines grown into their own. They are probably 3 years from being able to produce wines from these vines. The views are nice and the place is clean. It will make a good wedding venue for the Ballantyne crowd. The location is very convenient the Charlotte metro market. I am sure this has something to do with the choice of location because it's not really what would be considered an idea vineyard area.

The not so good. To me, they came off as pretty snooty for a vineyard that has not proven themselves. The guided tasting was one of the colder (non-personal) ones I have had in North Carolina. The wines are made offsite from grapes they did not grow. The wines were really light bodied and not really any better than could be acquired from the grocery store. These, so far, are not award winning types of wines that a vineyard should be so ahead of itself.

They have only been open for about 6 weeks. Hopefully this will change as they grow and come into using their own grapes. Only time will tell.

Update 10/1/2021. They have some estate grown wines available now. The Tannat and the Sauvignon Blanc were both good. A much better experience...

I searched for wineries close to Charlotte and decided this was the place to try based on the reviews and photos and menu. I was not disappointed! Even when there isn’t anything growing on the vines, the property is gorgeous. The staff was very kind and helpful. Mountain views less than an hour from CLT, you can’t beat that! It’s a lovely place to enjoy the outdoors, whether you get a picnic table with an umbrella or an Adirondack chair, or even bring a picnic blanket. Try to get there closer to opening if you want your choice of places to sit. The inside is nice as well, with its own seating areas where you still have a nice view of the outdoors, and bathrooms are immaculately clean. The wine was very drinkable for me, but of course it won’t be to everyone’s taste. For around $20 you have a variety of 3-wine flights to choose from, I enjoyed the Favorites flight. In very glad we tried the charcuterie board, as there is something for everyone between the variety of crackers, meats, cheeses, fruits, spreads, and nuts. Highly recommend!
