Unsophisticated, pedestrian, rude, classless...to clarify, those words best describe the employees and wine. Two stars for the buttery chardonnay and young lady that provided the chiller on the patio! I was with a friend (club member) and we ordered a couple of bottles and waters. The employees should not get confrontational with customers, i.e., "people steal the chillers" and recounting stories of "when I worked at a restaurant, people used to steal the salt and pepper shakers." Really?? Is this the type of patrons that come here? Did this employee work at McDonalds before? I asked for the Merlot at room temp...and the woman wanted to dispute my wishes...why would I want my Merlot chilled? Just be respectful of customers...and not treat them poorly. I am the one with disposable income! ;) I've seen this problem twenty years ago with the upstart Virgina wine scene as it was difficult to employ people with manners, couth, and customer service skills. I will not return. I downgraded my review to one star as your employees...
Read moreVery impressed with the winery from the set up, wine selections and both helpful and knowledgeable service of their staff (Debra, the door host), to the quality of their wines as DE., produces fantastic wines.
On this occasion, we had the chance to try both the “Alvariño” and the “Cabernet Sauvignon”. Real exquisite both of them, the place offers like music and both musicians were quite good, as they’re tasting rooms got busier and tables were occupied, we had to share our table, but no issues here, locals were very nice people (Thank you both, Maritza and Scott) as I/ we look forward to seeing you again on future visits.
I must add, the place is fantastic for groups as towards late evening they were 2 different Bridal showers. Last, dogs are welcome while kept on a leash. All in all this is a fantastic place to...
Read moreTerrible customer service experience. Was literally told to “go to the back of the line” for not having a sheet filled out - that were not even readily available (as well as the wine lists) until you got to the front of the line. When I refused, as the line was very long, we had already been waiting at least 15 minutes and I knew I could pick my wines quickly, the employee tried to butt in front of me to tell the cashier also that I hadn’t filled out a sheet. Thank goodness for the very kind cashier who tried to soothe me. An embarrassing experience. And the wine I hastily picked was all extremely sweet. If you would like your customers to fill out a sheet, the sheets and wine lists should be in multiple areas and there should be a sign stating so. Not a woman randomly coming up to humiliate the next...
