I've been coming here for longer than I can remember. Have brought lots of friends and always enjoyed it. It's sad it's gone down hill. They're definitely overselling "6 attractions" The elevator from Noah's ark is part of an attraction. Not an attraction. I was also very sad to see the maze is now a separate cost. It used to he where we would have fun looking for the way out and discussing the scares. Oh. Since those are gone, guess that's not needed.

There definitely appeared to be a staffing shortage. I understand they're all volunteer, but after reading their volunteer page, I completely understand. Read it. I wouldn't gather 15 of my organization's people to volunteer for $150 donation. Especially since it seemed there were only about 20 actors. (Cost is $23. Slow night estimate ~1,000 people. $23,000 a night to donate $150?) This is also the ONLY section of their website that references any charitable giving. I thought they used to donate all proceeds to charity.

The actors that were there were good. Sorry, nothing about you, just not enough. Probably a pretty bad night for all of you too.

A major problem with haunted houses is timing. For the first half hour we were in line outside, we barely moved. We thought VIP was maybe holding it up. So then, the line really started to move. Went from standing basically in the first of 4 line sections for half an hour to making it to the door in 15 minutes. Should've been a red flag. My opinion is they opened the doors late so we were actually just moving up as people moved closer together, then they flooded it. The first two parts had decent scares but fairly straightforward pathways that really did encourage free flowing walking and decent scares. The farther you get inside the more complex the rooms and paths in the room get. Sounds great in theory right? Nope. If you don't balance the rooms that slow people down with actors to slow them down or move them along, you get the kill factor(pun intended) for a haunted house. The line after the line. We went at a modest pace, the group behind us caught up. We let them pass. We then caught up to every single group in front of us. Then, every single group behind us caught up. So, we completed the last half of the haunt single file, not scared at all just wanting to leave. Wanna know how bad it was, the 6 yo behind me kept telling every actor that tried jumping out you're not scary and you need help. I also laughed as his mother was telling him it was more expensive because they skipped the line In my head, I was just thinking well, you're waiting in line now.

Skip the food stand. I saw they had some nice looking hot dogs, nice and plump. I love me a food stand hot dog. I was there only shortly after dusk and they served me a hot dog that looked left over from the previous night especially when I could see the others.

This is a 1 star review. The second star is a bonus for past performance but does not guarantee...

10/26/19 We loved it. This is one of the best more "well known" haunted attractions in the Pittsburgh area. Google Maps directions led us straight to the parking lot. (Which was surprising.) It was slightly raining but no one seemed to care. There was at least a thousand people there when we arrived around ten p.m. We were directed by staff to the V.IP line after asking which one we could purchase tickets in. We waited in the V.I.P line for over an hour. Continually asking staff if we were in the correct line. We got to the front to go in and were asked for our tickets. Not having any we were told to go back purchase our tickets and wait in line all over. By then more people showed up and the line had literally trippled. I was very upset and said we had waited over an hour in line and asked numerous staff members if we were in the correct line. A female staff member at the very front of the entrance to the house who was dressed like a witch took us to the front of the ticket line, spoke to a manager I think his name was Fred or Frank (skinny and tall) .Oh well the awesome manager got our tickets and led us to the front of the line to go in. ( Thanks buddy that made our night). They were very courteous about the whole matter. And treated us well. The house itself was massive with different themed rooms and differnt ways to go. There is no tour guide to lead you through it so we got to explore and take as much time as we wanted within the whole house. House being and under statement. It was huge. It took my party of four about an hour walking at a normal pace to get through most of it. I'm sure we missed something. It was by far the best haunted house I've ever been to. They had music, food vendors, alcohol, a buried alive simulator and bathrooms (which were gross but still gave it 5 stars). Be sure to spend the extra couple bucks and upgrade to the V.I.P tickets. It was a long wait and it would have been trippled the wait time for general admission. No joke. They do allow children. I would say ten and up but it's the parent or guardians discretion. I highly recommend this establishment. It was scary but absolutely enjoyable. We had really great time. Thank you to all the staff that made this a...

This haunt would be cool if they ran the crowd control properly.

We came from 6 hours away to come visit the Hundred Acres Manor, and I can't be more disappointed in my experience here. First off, the lines are silly long at this time of year. We know this and buy fast pass to review multiple haunts in one night. But the lines were moving suspiciously fast.

The courtyard outside is all about upgrading your ticket, getting food truck food, doing overpriced escape rooms, about everything except enjoying the fall weather. This is important because we did not feel it added anything for the maze or the escape rooms to not be included in an already expensive VIP ticket.

Now for the haunt. It is extremely well made and the buildings and trails are extremely well done. This is enough for most haunt people but when you've seen over 100 haunted attractions, this means very little for scares. They jam in 3 large groups at a time. The girl in front only spaces them out 20 seconds, which is important. Our group was 3 VIP groups, a 6 top, our 2 top, and a 5 top behind us.

THIS is the main problem. The group size should be capped at 6-8. The scares fully triggered by person 4 and by me at person 7 nothing retriggered. I was aggravated instead of scared. The group in front in our mega group were also not scared at all. It's hard to be scared in a group of 13.

Then at house 3, our mega group hit another mega group, and the group behind us hit us. So now there's 30 frickin people in a conga line, not triggering any scares, being rushed by terribly trained actors. The last 20 minutes I just wanted out of the house so I could leave.

If any of this sounds fun to you, you do you, but my score is a 3/10. I'll be fair to the design team here in that the themes and sets are 10/10, but literally everything else is a "f you, we got your money" experience, and I will never recommend this haunt to anybody, especially anybody who comes to secret review from 4 states away. A total disappointment all around.
