One of our favorite parks in CT! A great place to bring the kids! Play, enjoy a picnic, get your cardio in and stop at the stations to do quick workouts to stay on track! #fyp #connecticut #park #kidsoftiktok

I absolutely Love bringing my daughter to Meckauer Park. She asks to go every day after school. I love how they keep the girls room clean and not a wreqck like most playgrounds, and how they have a tarp to put over the sand box when it's not being used (which I think was a great idea with the pond right there, no goose poo in the sand box). They have a reading box where you can take the book home and bring it back or leave other books there. My 5 yr old checks the box every time we go. There is a basketball court, a fenced area for dogs

This is a great park with a paved walkway that is about a half mile long with a lot of different stretching areas along the way with some small benches to sit on and relax.the park also has restrooms and an area for your dogs, they also have a playground with picnic tables and a volleyball field and even a basketball court. There is also a very large parking area and there is always a place to park.

Meckauer park is one of my favorite parks in the neighborhood. It has two playgrounds (prek and k and up), A SANDBOX (rare thing in Connecticut for some reason, also, it's a ln eagle scout project whoa), Picnic area and a spot for BBQ, basketball hoop, low impact walking/biking trail (bring your kids here to practice!), a nice pond with some cool wildlife (like herons and bullfrogs, ducks, geese, turtles and some hard to identify water rodens), plenty of trees to provide shade, several exercise spots for adults and youth, a good size bark park for your doggos, a spacious gazebo, Big bathrooms (closed off season sigh) Also, there is a book crossing spot aka little free library, make sure you check it out.

Parking has enough space to accommodate a lot of cars, which is...

Dog park, picnic pavilion, playground, walking trail, and field. Dog park has big dog and small dog area and access to drinking water in non-winter months. Big dog area can be muddy during spring flooding period and dusty in driest part of summer, so you may want to walk dog on lead around walking trail instead sometimes.

Playground generally well maintained.

Picnic area shows some age.

Public bathrooms are generally clean but show their age. They are closed during winter.

Park generally always has some people in it, even at odd hours so you never feel isolated but never so crowded as to...
