Needless to say, without the snow, it looks way different. We brought our dog and our kids here for some snow play at the end of our Big Bear trip and it was quite the winter wonderland. The gentleman who owns the gorgeous property that shares the fence with the preserve was quite nice too. When I find some friends willing to do a snow hike with me here, I'm coming back.

The Pebble Plain habitat is amazing! We didn't see another soul hiking in on three different days- crazy isolation in our countries most populous state! Tried to stay on the path and take only photos of this pristine and beautiful land. Posting pics during peak bloom time of four indigenous flowers that don't grow anywhere else in the world.

A beautiful hike in the San Bernardino mountains. Definitely worth the visit while in Big Bear but please stay on trails. This is a fragile area and meant to be enjoyed by many. It is not wheel chair friendly, unfortunately. Dogs on leashes are going to have a great time! Bring water cause it gets warm quickly.

Great hiking spot that can go in varying directions. Difficulty 2/5. Gives a nice workout in some spots and has semi continuous ups and downs. Overall large space with small trails. Good for dogs and kids. Be prepared to explore if you go off wandering the various trails. Most areas are well maintained and marked. The flat parts are very beautiful and open. Bring plenty of water. There is shade in most areas....
