Lake MacBride Beach — Attraction in Big Grove Township

Great place to swim as well as paddle board and kayak. They have affordable rentals there and a snack bar. Have taken the kids there many times. About 25 minutes away from Cedar Rapids. Once in a while there'll be a group of loud teenagers/college age kids who think they're super cool and curse a lot and ruin it for others, but most of the time it's fine. Great place for all ages with ample paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes and pontoon boats to rent. Boat in the direction of the right side of lake for open areas near shore, or to the left for long distance paddling / boating. Great beach area in same location for the kiddos or for water frisbee/football. (no lifeguards but has roped in sandy beach area) Bathrooms and beach-shower on location. Haven't been here in 5 years, and the beach looks the same. This is the smallest beach I've ever been to. I like the fact that you can rent paddle boats , and other water rides. The only concern that I have is that the water is dirty and slimming, I would not recommend to swim in it. Other than that is a beautiful place to hang around with family...
