It's a nice lake, for sure. For fishing, though, it's more of a boat fishing lake. It's really hard to cast and reel when there's so much moss and whatnot in the lake. It catches your hook and is really annoying. And not all of that is visable, a lot hides just under the water. Another bummer is that there isn't a lot of shade on/over the water, so if you don't get there early in the morning, it gets too hot most days and the fish go to the shallow parts where it's cooler, and as mentioned above, you just can't catch anything there. Really nice place to relax and hike though! A few grills here and there, and some benches spread out. Overall a nice place, just not really a big fishing lake, it's more...

We camped at the end of July and it was everywhere we went from the lake trail to the campground and everywhere in between. I would...

Also the management of the fish in the lake has been outstanding. I don't ever remember as a kid catching as many nice bass and walleyes. It was a great day and it's a great...
