Ousel Falls Park Trail — Attraction in Big Sky

Gorgeous unpaved trail that runs alongside a river and waterfall. It's just under 2 miles down and back. The trail condition was fine, but it's important to note the trail has a lot of areas which don't have rails or barrier with super steep and sudden drops off the side. If you have young ones or animals which don't pay attention to their surroundings, it should be fine, just be aware of this in advance. Also, there are a number of realities steep climbs and drops. Absolutely beautiful trail that’s not very strenuous even for children or the elderly. We went on a late morning in September and it was perfect. The sun was out, but it wasn’t too hot and the river was beautiful the entire way to the falls. We went down and put our feet in and just enjoyed the smell of the pines and the roar of the water. This is a relatively easy hike with spectacular scenery, a few short uphill climbs and overall a pretty good walking surface. Some nice benches and vista points along the trail and a couple nice bridges across the stream. The trail ends at the Ousel Falls with an overlook and some picnic benches.
