This is a very nice BLM Visitors Center located in a very small community with great pride in the wonders they have to share with those who stop to search them out and enjoy them. The Native American woman who helped me was fantastic. She provided me with several places to see and maps to get there, the lengths of the hikes and specific tips on certain locations.

She also provided information about her own culture that was also highly valued for me personally. Take the time to stop here and ask questions if you are planning to be in the area for any length of time and want to get the most out of your stay. My sincere thanks to those working at the Big Water BLM Visitors Center for making my stay much more...

This place is a gem!! I drove over from Kanab in hopes of finding some Christmas gifts that would go towards supporting our local agencies that protect these surrounding areas. The gift shop is fantastic. A great assortment of gifts for everyone, plus some really fun dinosaur swag. The exhibits were well-curated and quite impressive. The best part for us, though, was the warm & welcoming staff. Liz and Paul (I believe) were so friendly and helpful. They're the kind of people that set a positive tone for the remainder of your day. We left stocked with Christmas presents and intent on returning here with all our future visitors. Definitely swing through this...

Informative staff by phone. Maps in kiosks at parking lot; office closed by 3 pm in April 2021 despite website hours indicated it was open till 4:30 pm. Apparently the staff had to take time to clean and wipe down the place for COVID so weren't able to keep the office open! Check by phone b4 you go. Inexperienced staff at this office was unable to tell us what ground conditions truly were for Cottonwood Canyon Road the 2nd time we called. They try to be helpful but you need to ask outright whether they have real on-the-ground experience to assess how much credence to give what...

We had a nice visit with the person at the desk, and she provided a lot of great ideas for places to stop on our continued drive towards Kanab. She also explained the grand staircase geology so we understood the what we were seeing for the next couple hundred miles. The exhibits were informative and we were glad we stopped to visit to see the big picture.

Randomly spotted the signs for this place and decided to turn around and stop to see what it is all about and I’m glad we did. Friendly staff and tons of information about the area and history here. They even have a gift shop for stickers, magnets, patches, books and so on. Super unique and worth a stop if you have time and want to learn more.

This is a very nice visitor center with a small but very interesting exhibit on the fossils found in the surrounding area and the dinosaurs they belong to. Certainly worth a stop and look. Also has clean bathrooms and park rangers educated in the local area and hiking trails. Finally the building is designed as a spiral which is just fun.
