A wonderful visit! We stopped into the Middlesex Canal Museum today and had the pleasure of meeting Neil, who made our experience truly memorable. The Middlesex Canal was one the country's first canals and this little museum covers it in great detail. It is a tad dated, but being a small museum, they do their best. The staff is quite knowledgeable and helpful. As with any place in Massachusetts, there is history everywhere and the setting is quite scenic.
