I would love to be able to give The Oasis a higher rating, but the experience we had recently was not great. This is a fairly new feature in Billings, so it's in good shape and apparently well maintained, but if they continue to allow the over-crowding that we experienced, it won't last long. My 2 kids and I arrived a few minutes before the doors opened hoping to beat some of the crowd, only to find not just a relatively long line, but a few poorly home trained kids being allowed to run amok. That should have been a warning, but I decided I wouldn't' let it spoil our visit. Once we got in, we set up camp at one of several tables with umbrellas. There are also a good number of lounge chairs for laying out on. They have a nice snack bar with prices only a bit high, as well as a "Snowie" snow cone stand over in the middle of the park area. Here's where the good stuff ends I'm afraid. My kids and I go to get into the water in the "Lazy River" portion, only to be met by one of the previously mentioned hellion children, who promptly squirted me right in the face with one of these soaker things they sell at the park. I asked him not to do that again and went on. It wasn't long though before the place started to really get crowded to the point where you couldn't lay on an inner-tube and just cruise along as intended, without rude people, mostly kids, practically crawling all over you, bumping into you, knocking you off your tube, and then there was those hellion kids again. Come to find out it was a whole family of boys from about 6 to 16, all of whom continuously did cannonballs into the "Lazy River" portion where we spent most of our time. It finally got so bad at one point, that I got a bit upset and really reprimanded the two oldest boys, as well as said something to one of the "life guards" on duty. I write life guard like that because for one, the deepest water there is only about 3 feet deep and for another, they are all teenagers, mostly girls, who are more concerned with catching some rays and being seen than they are with keeping the peace. I guess if you go there with the idea that the place is really for kids, not for adults, then it's probably better, but if you go expecting decent people, don't bother. Not only did we have trouble with the unruly boys, but at one point, we go back to our table to get a snack, only to find another family has come along and put their stuff down on the table we were clearly using well before they got there, and the thing that pissed me off the most was that neither of the adults said a word to me and I gave them several opportunities to do so. Very rude. This is not Oasis's fault though, so if you go, I advise just letting your kids get in the water and you as the adult watch from the sidelines, and just guard your territory so to speak, and it'll probably be fine. Otherwise, you'll pay 8 bucks a person for over-large crowds of screaming, maniacal children, all seemingly trying to splash all the water out of the...
Read moreWent here 4 a free 🏊♂️ day 4 people w/disabilities & their 👪 Very nice 🏊♀️ park. They have a small child area that is Awesome. Little tykes can sit & ▶️ n the 💧 or 🚶♀️ around & go under a tube that has a small stream of 💧 coming out of it. Fairly big sized 💧 slides, they have 2. The older kids, Adults included, had a blast going down them & then a fast paced 🚶♂️ 2 c who got 2 the stairs 1st & go again. A 🎱 area where a small 👋 is pushed out 4 kids on floatation devices, could "Catch a Wave" or jump when the 👋 rises. Along w/the 🎱 area, there's n area, I 📞 "The river"(lol) where u glide n2 it & the 💧 moves u along, like a river. So no 🧍♀️ n there or u'll get taken out by other 🏊♂️'s lol. A ▶️ area 4 younger kids that has 💧 that sprays down on them, a plastic 🪣, that when u jump up just a bit & hit the bottom, the 🪣 tips over & the 💧 spills out on top of ur head, 💧 that 🔫 up from the ground, a HUGE 🌂 over all of that, that sprays a fine mist of 💧 at certain intervals, plenty of places to sit & relax, & a snack bar. The BEST homemade cut 🍟 that I've had n a very long ⏲️ The staff is very friendly & very attentive. I HIGHLY recommend this place 2 every 1! Well worth the ⏲️ & 💰!!! Read moreThis place is amazing. Where do I begin? The whole place is only 3.5" deep at most, but don't let that stray you away. They have a wave pool, lazy river, 2 big slides, plus water volleyball and basketball. There is a whole section for toddlers with their own slides and so many fun splash sprinkler things. It's like an in water playground. There is also a baby splash pad that has the perfect little slide, and the water is less and a food deep, which is so nice for the little ones.
There is a snow cone bar, a drink bar, and a food place where you can get hot food, which is nice. We tried the drink bar by the big slides, and it was delicious. They had great prices with fun kids' drinks and sugar-free options too for adults.
There is a system for floaties, im not sure how it works, but it looks like there are noodles and floaties you can rent or use. Locker rooms and bathrooms are nice. Staff did a great job as well. The kids loved it here. Great place for a family day...
