Our “glamping” adventure near Patoka Lake! We were in a small family campground within walking distance to the winery and Benny’s! The lake is a short car ride and offers a public beach with restrooms! The air b&b host was excellent with her communication, the camper was just as described and was just roomy enough for the 3 of us. #creatorsearchinsights #airbnb #airbnbfinds #travelinspo #traveltiktok #camper #glamping #indiana

This is a nice park but we were shocked to find that out of state visitors have to pay $9.00 to get in! Needless to say, we went there one day and that was it. Its definitely not nicer than the free state parks in our home state. The Grand Canyon park is $25 for 7 days!! And they charge $9 a day for this?? The beach area needed work. There was duck/goose poo all over the grass and very little sand. It needed much more sand. There was no place to set our belongings so I had to walk the mine field of poo to find a place to put it. The changing area buildings were very nice, the best we have seen at any park. We went there after a hike to cool off but strangely, the lake water was like 82 degrees, very warm and not so refreshing. We did some hiking on the trails too but there is a warning for that. My wife and I both like to do trails in our home state and she runs about 4 miles a day but it was 90 degrees that day and the beginning of the trail when down about 50-80 feet in the first mile. We couldn't handle the hills in that heat so we headed back after only one mile. I recommend tackling that in cooler weather. Didn't get to see much more of the park in one day and didn't go back because of the fee.

Great view.. awesome drive from Louisvile to Lake Patoka

Cleanliness : 9/10 Water : 8/10 Picnic Spots : 9/10 Gentry: 9/10

It was very nice drive from Louisville to Lake patoka. The beach is very clean comparatively to many other beaches near by. This place offers good parking options and spots for picnic. People were doing BBQ, playing in the water, eating and tanning in the sun.

This place also offers bathing option and also small eatery if you didn't bring your own food.

It has enough space to accommodate good number of families without becoming like a crowd like place.

Overall it nice and calm place. I would recommend to anyone near by to...
